Greetings!
In a past life,
I used to sell and teach card making
with rubber stamps.
It was a passion of mine and
I still miss it.
Once divorced,
I sold almost all of the supplies
I had (which were too numerous to mention).
The few supplies I managed to keep,
were for scarpbooking.
I could justify keeping those so I would
have some nice memory books
to leave for my children.
OK. So what does that have to do with my blog?
I've decided to, once again,
"put myself out there."
You see,
I have all of these pictures I took
of my flowers last summer.
I've made a lot of greeting cards
using them but still had so many left and
wasn't sure what to do with them.
My "light bulb" moment finally came
the other day.
I separated all of my flower pictures
into color "palettes."
Then I proceeded to "scrap em'."
Since they transported me to
warmer, sunnier, snowless days,
I thought I'd share a few with all of you.
Aren't you just the lucky ones today?
Ha!
It was a challenge with my limited
supplies, but here they are.
I'm sorry about he glare on some of these. As always,
I'm not great with technology!

The glare is pretty bad on this one,
but I wanted to share the "paper flower" with you.
Anyone remember the song "Paper Roses?"
While it's not a rose, it is still fun
to make.
Mmm....makes me excited for summer!
I'd like to leave you with a favorite quote today,
it comes from Henry Ward Beecher:
"It is easier to go down a hill than up it, but the
view is much better from the top."

Pretty!
Beautiful, Jill! You should sell greeting cards or something! I do remember the son, Paper Roses....we will see if Karen will comment on this - but in case she doesn't...she sang that at a 4H competition back in the day. She had a beautiful white dress with little roses on it and I played one of her paper roses with a big tissue paper rose on my headband! She did awesome!
These are really breathtaking. I love the way you grouped the colors together. Your flowers put mine to shame! I will be looking at this post many times.
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Very pretty! I scrapbook but not anywhere near as pretty or fancy as your pages. Keep it up!
Makes me want to scrapbook (and I did have a Marie Osmond moment back in the 70's).
Thank you ladies for such nice comments. I do have the best blog followers! I'm really not a fancy scrapbooker. I just have a strong desire to preserve some memories. I love, love, love the DSP (Designer Series Papers) offered by Stampin' Up! If you'd ever like to check it out, here's the link: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/paulasurface/
