What I Did on my Summer Spring Vacation
By Jill
Well, I had hoped to go for lots of walks under blue skies.
Instead, here's how it went down:
Days 1,2 and 3: Daughter home with strep throat.
Day 4: Plowing the 5" of snow that fell and spreading
100 pounds of sand and 100 pounds of salt on my driveway skating rink
\and learning that I actually needed about 1000 pounds of sand.
Getting the oil changed on the car.
Day 5: Plowing another 2" of snow.
Washing bedding of sick daughter.
Certainly not what I had planned
but it was good to be home for awhile.
I did get a lot of stamping done so
I can't complain.
Few signs of spring here.
Hope you're enjoying yours!

It's raining again here too if that's any consolation!
Have a great week! :)
this is why spring and summer are going to be so sweet!!
Good thing you were home to take care of her, and hope she is feeling better soon! Maybe summer break will get here soon!
Hope you were able to recharge your batteries on vacation!! I hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day!
Wow!! That was quite a vacation. I think I want a different kind. LOL
I hope that the snow melts soon.
Sorry she was ill! Hope she's better now!
Sending warm weather your way!!
hughugs
oh, bummer! especially the strep throat part!
UGH what a vacation...
Hang in there it will get better we will all be spreading stories of planting and cookouts real soon !!!
Pierce had strep throat last week too. Not fun :-( Hope she's feeling better.
Hoep your daughter is feeling better. I have never had it but both my girls have and they have been miserable.
Glad to know that you atleast did something for yourself, Stamping. TFS. ana
Looks like you had a bit "of the blue" to enjoy!
Glad that you both survived:)
Oh dear that's a shame, especially that your daughter wasn't well. I hope she is feeling much better now.
You have already had spring break? With snow? sandie
Most of what you did doesn't sound at all relaxing...but the change from the normal routine is usually good for revitalizing the spirit.
Wow still snow? It was in the 90's here today. I'm dreading summer.
Dearest Jill, My heart is with you. I know you must be tired and were grateful for a hot cup of tea or coffee and a moment.
I hope that your daughter is feeling better and that you take care not to catch a cold too.
Blessings, Catherine xoxo
I hope Becky is feeling better!
I am done with winter and snow, I am hoping spring comes quickly. :)
So sorry that Becky was sick -- hope she is better Jill.
Being at home to take care of things is a joy. :)
Love the picture. Don't know whether to laugh or cry about your vacation. Ya gotta have a sense of humor. Life is like that!
Isn't that the way it happens! It is just good sometimes to be home.
Hi Jill I hope and pray Becky is on the mend and no one else comes down with strep. Oh do I remember the days when it took over our house.
Good news is you didn't have to take any time off from work to look after Becky since you were home! :-)
Hugs Cecilia and Madi
Vacation plans get trumped by real life, a good thing (you're available) and a bad thing (not much of a vacation or relaxation). I'm glad you were able to take care of your daughter though, strep throat is completely unenjoyable :(
Ugh. I hope she's feeling better, now.
Jill I do hope she is feeling better and spring comes soon for you. Hug B
The best laid plans....
Glad Becky had you home to take care of her and that you got in some stamping time : )
We have snow too! I start spring break Friday. Hopefully sunny skies and warm weather is on its way.
