Oh Honey is Beautiful! Congratulations Becky (aka Butterfly Mom, LOL)!! I remember collecting monarch caterpillars with my children in the late summers and putting them in an aquarium with lots of milkweed. I can't believe how much they eat!! Once we collected a catepillar that was on a Dill plant, so we put lots of dill in the aquarium for it to eat. It's chrysalis looked different and didn't have the gold decoration. It turned out to be a Swallowtail. Equally as beautiful as the Monarch, but Brilliant Blue and Black. That was a fun surprise!
congrats moms! :) how much fun is that? I'll have to show it to the boys for sure- we had a little friend called "Flutter" - he was injured and stayed with us for several days before passing on- we like to think we helped make Flutters last days happier! :)

How neat! I've never done that before. But I do let the caterpillars eat my herbs -- at least they have good taste. :)
Beautiful! The miraculous changes which bring forth a butterfly never cease to amaze me.
So nice - what a lovely experience :D)
