Luckily,
this pretty is
inside.
Chances are, it wouldn't have
lasted through the night.
Like many areas of the country,
it's darn cold here
with frost two nights in a row.
It's a little hard to swallow
after being spoiled by unseasonably
warm weather.
There's a chance of thunderstroms
Saturday, Prom Day but at least
it's supposed to be warmer...
by about 25-30 degrees.
I don't have enough sheets
and/or towels
to cover everything so I
just hope for the best.
Hope it's warmer wherever you are!

Kind of funny and very changeable weather here in England,Jill, but that is normal for this time of year. Magnolias ending now whereas they should only just be coming out, though, which feels weird.
Hey Jill, This weather is really all screwed up. I don't understand it. I can't believe it is almost mid April and still cold. We have very warm weather here in Florida, but at night and mornings it can be chilly. Well Chilly for us.
Your rose is beautiful. Lets hope this weather gets better soon.

Gorgeous photograph! Just yesterday my blog title was Brrrrr too! We were supposed to have a trace of snow last night but it didn't happen. Hopefully you will be spared too. Every blog I read....you were there before me!!!
What a pretty rose! Hoping for great weather on Saturday!
It's nice in Oklahoma but rainy today. :( We need it so badly so I'm trying not to whine. Cali was gorgeous tho...and I wonder sometimes why I left. I miss it so much!

Oh boy do I feel your frustration. Thank goodness the pink beauty is inside. We're expecting 34 here tonight and for April in NC that is just plain odd!!
At least prom weekend will be nicer 'cause I'm pretty dang sure Becky will NOT want to wear a coat over her beautiful dress.
Hugs Madi and Mom
It is much cooler here today too, although not quite that cold!
Warm and humid here,I would take a little cooler weather..maybe not the frost but cooler would be nice.
Ditto here! I just took an early morning run to survey our damage. It's like Mother Nature said, "Oh, my! I forgot all about giving you winter. Here. How's this?"
Oh, this is Beautiful! It's been warm here.
Hope they didn't freeze!

Expecting our freeze tonight. Suppose that will really affect the fruit already set. On tomato made it through last night...
just to remind you you live in the north. :)
Cold is the word...I felt bad after cleaning out my gardens, at least I got mulch down so hopefully everything is snug.
Crossing my fingers for Saturday
fingers crossed for sun on prom day!!
is just gorgeous here today, i am thinking about bringing the computer outside, but the real question is, will i get any work done. prob not!!
Hope it warms up for you Jill... we are expecting thunderstorms later today, but at least it is warm here... I bet Becky is getting soo excited for the prom!... xoxo Julie Marie
Pretty Rose . . . did you ever take one apart . . . layer after layer after layer. Like our lives . . .
Frosty returned here too . . .
I am hoping for no rain for Becky's prom day! I am looking forward to pictures!
Hi Jill, It's cold here too, as it should be in April. I do have some frost damage on my hydrangea, but they should recover. I hope your sweet girl has a shawl for prom night.Love, Penny
Oh it's warm here for sure:) Glad you protected this beauty. Nice macro with the water drops. The roses right now are just getting started here as well. Protect your plants:)
I brought in all the daffodils I could carry last night as it got down to 28 -- but no frost or freeze this morning. Yay!
It's kinda BRRR here too. Where did beautiful March go. ha
What a beautiful rose!
Oh Jill,
This is a beautiful rose! We have supposedly had our last frost, so we've unwrapped once again. My Sweetie has wrapped and unwrapped, I can't count the number of times this year! Hopefully we're finished this time.
But, don't blame you for trying to save this beauty!
Your photos are so pretty! My 9 year old granddaughter just asked me if you were a professional photographer, Jill!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Donna
That is a very pretty flower.
The weather is certainly doing some strange things these days.
Hope everything survives!
Comfy here with 80 degree days and 60 degree nights. Your rose is pretty. My one bush has been blooming it's heart out and has only one rose left right now.
Such a pretty rose. The temperature got cooler here too after being spoiled by some very nice weather. It is raining and windy today but it will warm up again soon. I can't wait to see pictures of your daughter all dressed up for prom. She must be so excited.
blessings,
Danielle
It's really lovely!! Cold here in northern Virginia too--We even had snow mixed with rain and the temperature on my van said 45 outside...burrrrr....
I hope your flowers do survive the cold nights! Beautiful color!
Hi Jill,
I'm glad the cold won't spoil that pretty. Hope you get some warm sunshine soon. In the mean time, bundle up!
Hugs,
Patti
