I've Been Hit!

I have been having so much
fun doing my
Random Acts of Kindness,
it never even occurred to
                                   me that I might receive
one (or even two) myself.
But I have!
And of course,
I must share them with you,
my loyal followers.

Last Thursday was
the last day of the first
trimester at school.
I had the lucky fortune to be in
drama class with my student.
I immediately fell in love
with the drama teacher.
Her name is Mrs. Dupuis (it's french and pronounced DewPwee).
Doesn't she just sound like a drama teacher?

I had to go into work for half a day on Friday
for some training
and look what I found in my mailbox:

Something that may seem so small but
it made me smile from ear to ear!
She also made brownies for all of her classes
on Thursday as she keeps track of "brownie" points
the students earn throughout the trimester.
Clever, no?

That very same day,
I arrived home to find a box in my
mailbox.
I hadn't ordered anything and upon
inspecting the box,
was suspicious that it was from a fellow blogger,
however, I hadn't entered any giveaways
or won anything.

So I slowly began to unwrap the items inside.
First, three adorable Valentine's Day hearts, each with play dough
inside...for stress relief!
Then a lovely, warm, fuzzy pair of socks...
perfect for the sub zero, Arctic temperatures that have arrived!
A beautiful bottle of nail polish
and a very pretty magnet
from Virginia!
I still wasn't sure what was going on...
but giggled and smiled like a school
girl getting something from a secret Valentine.

Bad picture, I'm sorry,
but here are my goodies!

And then,
a very sweet, very touching note:

Thanking me for being an inspiration
with my good deeds!

And just who was so kind to do this for me?

Of course,
it was none other than
Lisa

at

Two Bears Farm and the Three Cubs

Lisa is one of the kindest, smartest people
I know.
I hope you will visit her blog.
I know you'll fall in love with her,
just as I have.

Lisa,
from the bottom of my heart,
THANK YOU for thinking of me
and for making my month!

I decided to come back to make an edit
after Mike's comment/question:

I am thrilled to be able to thank Lisa for the lovely gifts.
However, if the note had been unsigned,
I would have thanked nobody and everyone...
just like I suggested.
Love shared,
anonymously or with a signature,
is love.
And love always warms my heart.
Fair question, Mike!
Thanks for asking!

Just a question for you to ponder. You probably already have but, you have received a gift/letter, first hand.

You posted before about random acts of kindness/anonymous cards and asked if we, the readers, would want them signed or not.

I can ask you the same question. It's heart-warming and a great gift but, is it better knowing who sent it or not?

Funny how that what goes around comes around. Also, It's awesome how people will feel encouraged to do RAK too after they receive them.
You are awesome! You've started something good!

I love surprises like that!! I would love to be on the receiving end of this, it would make me feel so much appreciated. You do deserve this. You went through a lot!

I just remembered that I had snuck in bars of hershey's candy bars and put only a few in random mailboxes at work. The response was not the best. "WHO did this?... "WHY?!" and "What is the motive? What is the ulterior motive????" That was very disappointing. So I am glad you got retribution!

Well you are just proving that old saying- what goes around, comes around. That was so sweet of Lisa!

How lovely of Lisa to send you this lovely gift. But you really do deserve some loveliness.
Having those lovely brownies in drama class would certainly make the pupils work hard for them :)
