In UK these are called bulrushes. Cattail is a much more interesting name. Very refreshing photos:-)

Is it weird that cattails make me hungry for corndogs?

Hi Jill

Hope all is good with you and that your lovely son and daughter are keeping well.

Just back from holiday so really busy trying to play catch-up
not easy with mountains of washing and ironing to be done!

Thanks so much for linking up
with Green Day,
your photo contributions are lovely.

Happy weekend.

I've always loved cattails. My grandmother used to have a huge vase full of them that I always loved to play with as a small child. :)

I love cattails. My brother has a pond where I cut a few each year to use in a fall arrangement with colored leaves and such.

Great capture.

Thanks for the visit to my ivy covered house.
