Long ago
and not so far away,
a friend and I used
to walk and push our
girls in their strollers
along the path
of a lovely nature center
near our homes.
Becky had not been back
since those early days
so we ventured back there
for a nice hike.
Lot's of good memories from the past
and more made for her future.
There are many types of
footbridges there,
which I love,
so I thought you might
enjoy seeing them too.
This bridge just set the tone for our walk.

This is a floating bridge.
Aren't the shadows a nice addition?
This reminds me of a railroad bridge.
This one is part floating and part stationary and as you can see,
it's quite long.
If my memory serves me correctly,
this section has been tied up like this for the past
18 years!
I'm really blessed to have
such great places to walk.

Too funny they haven't permanently fixed that section. What a beautiful place - I'd love to go for runs there.

What a lovely scenic place to walk. No foot bridges where I live now but at home there were foot bridges over a deep railroad cut.

Good Morning, Jill! What a group of interesting foot bridges! The floating one looks much like the one we have nearby at Cedar Hill State Park. Texas has SOME and I will be on the look out for them.
There's just something about a bridge.....especially if you can't see all the way to the other side. You MUST make the journey over to find it!!

Very nice - that's great that you & Becky went back for a visit. Some of those remind me of the foot bridges at our local park. But I don't know about a floating bridge.... I don't do well with floating docks!
