Summer's Remains

Barren corn fields...

Oak leaves refusing to let go...

a summer grass once green
and pristine
now beige and proud...

the trunk of a fallen tree,
looks like an alligator's jaws to me...

seed heads....

marsh grasses beaten down by snow
and critters, waiting patiently
to rise once again...

proof  that corn once
lined the fields...

below the ice,
rich earth waiting
to be reawakened.

Great pictures Jill. You are really good with your camera. I don't have beautiful things around here to take pictures of. Maybe my backyard that is full of plants. My husband loves the yard so since he pleases me with all my crafting, then I do the same for him with the yard. I have learned to love it and I think now I take better care of the plants. LOL.

I have heard about the Linky thing but have not yet looked into it.
Why can't they just leave things the way they are if it works. Like they say, if it isn't broken don't try to fix it. I think thats the way it goes.

It kind of looks like how it is around here, I'm just waiting for more snow to come tho, as I'm sure it will.

Oh my gosh...I love those seed heads. They are so FAT. Looks like something found the corn :)

I got an e-mail from linky tools this AM about the changes you mentioned. Signed up. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I can't believe blogger hasn't made an announcement.
