Becky's fascination
with the coyote dens continue.
I never get too far away
for fear she'll crawl right in.
She does not get her bravery
from her Mom!
Update: No snow for us again! Just some
freezing rain and a few little flurries
are expected.
Another date night with John foiled again.

JILL! The coyotes freak me out! We have them here and they are known to stalk kitty cats! OY!
I used to see coyotes all the time when I lived in Arizona. Usually at dawn or at dusk, but sometimes during daylight hours, too. Fortunately, if I saw them during the day, it was when I was on horseback, so I knew I'd be able to get away quickly.
I was always worried about (literally) running into a pack (they always seemed to travel in 3s) if I were to run outside, so I resigned myself to always running on a treadmill at the gym.
Oh, I can see why Becky would be fascinated with their dens. I'd be curious, too. But I wouldn't want to run into the coyotes who lived there!
Thank you, Becky, for being fascinated with coyote dens so Jill would take photos. Otherwise I might never see one. :))
Okay you guys are brave but in my neighborhood they eat dogs the size of Disco! sandie
Last night I could hear the coyotes yipping, J n J weren't allowed to stay out long.
LOL! combine your post with mine today and we'll give warner bros. a run for their money...
Cool photos! Exciting stuff!
I have never seen a coyote den until now...Thanks!
Coyotes can be sly devils. I don't trust'em!
What a beautiful photo Jill!... you know me and Nature... I love that Becky is a little Nature lover too...and curious about these precious little creatures of God..... animals can sense that... they will love her back as well... xoxo Julie Marie
Even though we live in town we can hear the coyotes sometime. Never seen a den though, that is interesting.
Hi Jill!...I love coyotes! We have a den at the ranch, too, but never see them, just hear them. I love the sound of them at night, we hear them here at our house and up at the ranch - gives me goosebumps!
We have plenty of them here and a few"mutant" ones that have interbred with with large domestic dogs and are huge!
We have them all over here and love kitty and little puppies...especially the yappy kinds:) I've never seen a den before....very cool.
We have coyotes but I've never noticed any dens around.
How neat that Becky discovered a den. I have seen many coyotes but never where they live. If you were wanting a little snow, I have some today. I woke up to just enough to cover everything and looks just like powdered sugar.
xo,
Danielle
Coyotes kind of scare me! (We had a cat killed by one a few years ago when we lived in WA)
Sorry about your date night..maybe tonight?
I've never seen a coyote hole before!! I am glad you didn't let her crawl in there!! Scary.
Just be careful at those den's...
Sounds like you still have some cold weather over there..stay warm my friend. Enjoy your day!
Eva
I could feel my heart pounding when you showed the opening- I know I would have bent down to look in...lol
WOW! Tell Becky I think she is way to brave!! Those animals are sure not for me!
I didn't think we had coyotes in our area, but just last week, our local paper had a photo of a county resident who had killed one. Apparently it had been chasing his daughter's dog. Scary!
I thought you had a new man in your life and then I realized it was something even better : )
I've never seen a coyote or one of their dens. I'd be standing well back as well!!
I realised I dont know what a coyote looks like, they don't have them in England. I think they look like a kind of dog, right? But dogs don't have dens.... so maybe it is really more like a fox. Climbing into the den doesn't like a good idea though:)
We have coyotes around here, but we don't see them because in our area where we live we have foxes--I guess it's always one or the other.
sorry you didn't get snow...Welcome to my world! :-)
What a beautiful photo Jill!.. Well coyotes is such a great animal...

Exciting to catch the picture of the coyote den . . . . I don't think Becky should crawl in there though! First time I have ever seen a den and I have never seen a coyote. Quite the photographer star you are . . .
This is really cool! At first I didn't see anything in the den, then it seems like there is one - is she watching Becky or sleeping? Did you take the picture or did Becky? She is brave - now this is something our little Leila would do. She's 6 now and not scared of anything. She'd probably try crawling in and pull one out to play with! She tells her older brother how to pick up the lizards in the yard and wants me to take her to see the "wild aminals!"
She could make them "house broke." Yeah - it'd be my house that would be broke! She also wants to put them in the kennel so she can make them a nice bed. This is the little girl, when her own dogs don't want to play, she puts the leash on them, they think they're going for a walk and she runs them back and forth in the back yard. She's not allowed in the front yard by herself, so she's really not telling them a lie, don't 'cha know?
Kids!! We sure do love them!
Hugs,
Donna
Interesting Jill!I wouldnt want to peek to far into there though lol.Hold on to Becky ha.
Your daughter is VERY brave! Snow is suppose to come here today!
Yeah, I think I have a healthy distance that I keep from coyotes. I don't even like to hear them howl. Lol. Ack!
Wow. Now I'm wondering if my dog was exploring a coyote den about three weeks ago. We took him for a walk and he kept going back sniffing around the entrance. We practically had to pull him away. scary!

We have lots of coyotes. I can hear them at night howling and yipping! I love it! Luckily for me, my cats don't go far so I don't worry to much. I see them on my way to work alot! It would be interesting to see a coyote den. I've never seen one.
OH MY STARS...Becky back away from the hole. LOL
Hugs Madi and Mom
