a great camera for shots like this.
I do know I'm not a great
photographer.
Yet, I can't help myself
by trying as I am
so smitten with
the moon of late.
I hope you're not too terribly
tired of my attempts.
The clouds swept in so fast
and away furiously.
It would have been
a wonderful night
to walk,
hand in hand,
with someone special.
Instead,
my romantic heart
and I lingered on the deck,
just a little bit longer.
And enjoyed the
beauty of the night.

I, too, am smitten by the moon. For years, I didn't even pay any attention to it. Now, it seems to be a passion and I love to take shots of the moon. You did catch some great 'mood' with your camera! Have fun with it!
The moon can look wonderful can't it? I have yet to get a good picture of it.
I really like you pictures and the way the clouds are around just adds to it.
I enjoy your pictures. Just about every night, I look out the kitchen window at the moon. I like to think about all the bloggers throughout the country who might be looking up too!!!

I think your photos are just beautiful Jill... I too went out the night of the full moon, camera in hand, and captured it rising up above our mountains to the east of us... I just use a little point and shoot Canon and I am no expert myself, but I DO love taking photos like you do! thanks for sharing... xoxo Julie Marie

I've tried with my old cameras and compared to mine, yours looks like a Ansel Adams photo!

Beautiful shots of that moon...it was so big, bright and lovely this week!
We had a dinner party last night and we all sat outside around the table and the most wonderful moon came up. A full moon rising on the horizon really does add something to your occasion.
Add a blanket and a glass of wine and it would be perfect. sandie

The moon looked just like that last night here too and I went outdoors and took some pictures. However, my pictures don't look like yours. Your point and shoot camera takes some great pictures . . .
