I found a fantastic surprise
in

my garden today.
About 3 weeks ago,
I purchased a new
perennial.
Today,
it's blooming!
I'm so excited as I just
adore Lupines!
This next one is
the one
I really look forward
to every summer.
I can't get enough
of the scent
or it's beauty.
My Stargazer Lily

I adore lupines, but it's apparently too hot to grow them here. I do have Stargazers though. Arent't they beautiful? :)
the best way to enjoy your garden is to keep adding new things, keeping it fresh & full of surprises.

Jill, I absolutely love both! Lupines will not grow here and I am so allergic to the pollen of the stargazers. I have to cut the stamens before bringing them into the house. Enjoy you pretties!
Cannot get enough of the lilies., Stargazers are just stunning. Lupines are native here and the roadsides glow in the early summer. Keep adding to your garden and soon you won't have to mow grass.

oh they are truly beautiful- you have such a green thumb! I need a little of that around here. It's so hot I have a hard time trying to do any gardening. We have a handful of sturdy "tropical" plants that make due with my neglect! :)

Those lilies really are spectacular. I have grown daylilies, but never the stargazers. You have quite a green thumb!

They are one of my many favorites for flowers.
You must have that weather that keeps them around for awhile. They grow up here in Northern California too. Simply lovely...
