Who Is The One in Charge?

Aww yes...back to work for a couple of days now.
I had a nice, long break.
I enjoyed it.
Well, most of it.

I enjoyed not being told by the student(s):

"You should pull your shirt up."

"I see something."  (this was my bra strap showing by an 1/8 of an inch).

"Are you a Grandma?"

"You're a troublemaker."

"Why do you have one whisker like a man?"

"Why do you have a hole in your jeans?"  (this coming from a teenager)!

"Are you an auntie?"

"You aren't an Uncle are you?"

"Are you older then everyone else here?"

"Your hair is messy."

I could go on.  But I can't.  I'm starting to get a little paranoid.

Thank goodness I'm not the vain type.

I love these kids.

I really do.

They make me laugh
and keep me humble.

Well, not so much today when I got a little saliva spit in my face.

Nothing a little hand sanitizer can't handle.

Coming home is sure nice.

I get told how to cook here.

Oh!  And how to clean the house.

And that I just don't understand why someone can't use my printer to print like the 998th picture of Edward, or Jacob, or Bella, or Carl (that would be Carlise).

Or that I'm not nice.

And that I'm a crabby old woman.

I'm not complaining.

Really, I'm not.

Just 'splainin' why I don't have a big ego!

I'm going to bed now.

Sweet dreams everyone.

See ya tomorrow.

Well, maybe I'll see ya tomorrow.

I might just get lost in my dreams!

Some days everything adds up to bring us down. Recently in addition to the remark about my white hair making me wise, I had a guy to ask me if I did cartoon voices for a living!!!
Sending a hug and wishes for a better day.

LOL, too funny. Sorry everyone seems to be telling you what to do! You need to read this old children's book called Lisa and the Grompet. It'll make you feel better ;-)

Well, if nothing else, they are honest? :)

Don't worry my friend -- we all have those issues that cause us to feel a little less than perfect.

You are a wonderful woman, working so hard and doing it on your own. Like yourself, love yourself, you are awesome and those kids know it, despite the things they say.

Takes a big person with a great sense of humour to survive in this crazy world. I hope your dreams are filled with compliments :)

Kids do say the darnedest things. With the flu bug going around- I've gone through two bottles of hand sanitizer, and a can of Lysol too. Sweet dreams.

Oh, bless your heart. Someone always telling you something you don't need to hear. Such is life. I'm sorry, but this did make me chuckle. I always say that teenagers are so tired all the time, because it is exhausting KNOWING EVERYTHING in THE WORLD! LOL
Wishing you are restful weekend. Happy 2013
XO

Dear, dear Jill. Just keep these lists to chuckle at and you will be fine. I have wondered how your job is going. Sounds like never a dull moment.

The young and the old do not use their inner censor and feel free to say anything that comes to mind. You have to laugh, and wonder did we ever say something rude when we were young...or will we as we get older? I hope not...I admire you so for all you do. So glad to have you back. We are here for you. Love, penny
