Back to a Routine?

Most mornings,
or evenings,
as the case may be,
this is how I attempt to type
my blog
or comments on your blogs.

Yes, that is my arm
with Cupid plopped right down on top of it!
Have you ever tried to type
with 20 lbs. of cat
lying on your arm?
It isn't easy!

Anyway,
school is back in session
so I am struggling to find a new
routine, again.
I go through this every fall and spring.
Usually, by the time I figure it out,
it's time to change it up again!

Max(the dog) is enjoying his
walk every morning
so I guess that's a good thing.

Becky had a good day at school
(she's attending a Transitional School
that focuses on Life Skills).
She came home with a boy's phone
number and sat with him on the bus
but she doesn't know his name.
That's my girl! ha!

With or without kids going back to school,
do you fall into an autumn routine?

That is funny. I usually have Roscoe's head on my feet.
My legs fall asleep because I don't want to move so that he does not wake up. I think our animals are taking over. We never let our kids do this but yet with the animals its different.
I have a routine year round. Ironing, cleaning 3 bathrooms and furniture on monday. Tuesdays sweep and mop. Wednesdays just crop with friends whether it is on the phone or at one of our houses. Thursdays mop again and fridays is do whatever I have to.

We're adjusting to routines here too. The twins start preschool today! They'll be going MWF from 9-12.

Cozy 20 pounder . . . Looks like quite the companion!

My routine is much the same except for what I wear for my morning walk!

Is it steamy in Minnesota . . . It sure is here, typical beginning of school year weather . . .

My daughter has the same problem with her cat who loves to "help" her! I love the fall transition and I'm usually quite ambitious when it begins. Unfortunately I fall back into my lazy ways soon enough!

OMCs...Cupid is an arm cat...no laps for him. Tell him I like mancats who mix things up.

As I type this comment, one of my cats, Ditto, is on my left arm!!! It's like they are jealous of the lap top!!!
Cute story about Becky!

My two cats are currently at war with each other, for a reason none of us can figure out, so the whole day is spent keeping them apart until we can figure out how to get them back to peaceful coexistence! Routine... that's something I long for and as soon as I get it I'm sure I'll declare myself bored. Life can be so silly sometimes :) Enjoy your peaceful cat.

nice post, Jill. I'm am very out of that routine (my youngest is 30)but she is a teacher's aid / para-professional and so she is in school. So, I guess it still affects me.

I am sooooooo loving your new blog design soooooo much!

Love the picture of Cupid cuddled up on your arm!

No real routines for us at this stage of our lives: we're flyin' by the seat of our pants -- and lovin' it!!

Routine? Lately I can't even spell that word- I feel like I am running backwards and sitting still at the same time. Stuff to do, stuff to do!

Awww, I can't think of a better blogging partner :)

Ha - my kids are all grown and I have more trouble balancing everything than ever before - of course, grown does not equal gone.

Yes I understand typing with a cat...Pippie ALWAYS is near my computer when I am on..She LOVES to have her snout on my arm or hands...so weird
Glad Becky is making friends, lol to funny

Glad she's heading off to transitional school....best thing for the kiddos. I have a friend who is doing the same with her daughter.
As for the kitty and pounds of love on your arm....everyday I have an orange or gray kitty that sit right on top of my typing hand. Or try the black or white kitty who walk over the keyboard....very difficult! That mention had me laughing:)

PS - gave you more blog awards in my post today!

Cupid is quite an armful! :) I smiled when I read about Becky sitting with a boy on the bus - and having his number. Too cute! Oh to be young again!
