Great Gates?

A few days ago,
I set out
to see
if I could find
some barns.

I found some delightful surprises
along the way.

Thanks to
for the inspiration.

Totally utilitarian
and none too welcoming.

Love the addition of the lights.

Love this one.

My personal favorite!
Interestingly enough,
this one was on
the side of the yard.
Love the vines.

Do you have a favorite?

I love the last one, also. I want to get out and find some barns and gates, also. I'm hoping it will cool off some in the next few weeks!!!

GATES . . . Minnesota style . . . I liked them! Especially "guard dog!"

I seriously had to do a double take on that third gate...thought he was really in the driveway howling. Ha!!

The gates are really interesting. I like the last one the best.

That first one looks a bit abandoned- and I love that last one with the howling coyote!

We like the woofie gate at first mom thought it was a real woofie there.
Excellent workmanship on the entire gate and fence

Mom says another great series of point and shoot

I do like the vines too. Makes it prettier!

I love this last one of the side yard too, with the dog on the wrought iron and the vines growing over it. I do hope they keep it trimmed in future years as to show off the dog!

Hope you are doing well, Jill.

Blessings,
Donna

They're all pretty neat, but I my fave is the last one, too... love the vines, really adds to it, not to mention all that green! Gorgeous! =)

Don't have a barn but would prefer a gate. I wanted to have us move to a gated community. (did you read my pages, nutshell?) But we don't have neither at present which is fine by me. thanks for your comments.

I like the bottom one. I cannot believe how many cool gates you and Tex find we have very few around here. I guess we don't care to jump out of our cars to keep opening then closing them up here:) B

I love all pictures Jill, they're great!

I thought that was a real dog standing behind the gate barking. Then I noticed it was part of the gate. I love your last picture best. Cool gates.

Hi Jill, We have coyotes here in a very urban setting. You won't be seeing coyotes on fences here, unless it's a wanted poster! Still, it's my favorite too! Enjoy seeing what you discover. Love, Penny

She is an inspiration that one in Texas:) I love the wolf/coyote because I love a Game of Thrones. "Winter is coming." One of the best lines from that series of books. I've told T at TexWis that if I had a gate, it would have a tree lined entrance. There would be fun plants like that vine aroound the gate in front AND I would have something artsy in front.....maybe a Star Trek sign or something. That would be epic:) Glad you had a fun mission. Fun gates:)

Let's see, I favor the first fence over the second one. Second doesn't fit the setting very well. And, of course, love the "howler" on the last one--plus a tumble of vines on a black fence is always a winner.

I like the first one because it's the most welcoming:)

The last one is my fave...love the greenery on the fence!

Oh, yes, the last one with all the vines is defiitely my favorite. These entry gates are so different from where I live. They're all lovely.

It's always such fun to wander around making discoveries! Wonderful gates! I love the one with the vines especially!

If I went looking for gates as you did, I'd be looking for a long time. In the part of the country where I usually hang out, cattle guards are the norm, not gates.

They are all great, but I like the last one best with all the green vines.

Very nice variety! And I like the last fence...both the gate and the side section.

Lovely selection - I particularly like the last one with the tightrope-walking coyote, especially as it is topped off with vines.

I really like the last two
I was going to say I liked the dogs and then realized they might be coyotes!
