Once Upon a Time...

a Mom and her daughter went to walk
around the river.
They didn't wear any fancy
clothes or pretty hair dos
but instead took a bath
in insect repellent before
they began their trek.

It wasn't long into their adventure
that Mom spotted a nice tree trunk that
beckoned for her to take a picture
of her daughter on it.

So up the daughter climbed.

Lookin' all cool in her shades.

The mom and the girl enjoyed their adventure so much
they decided to take the boy along when he came to spend
some time with them.
Little did the Mom know, the girl had plans.

Standing on her perch...barking orders.

Every, and I mean every stump from here on out
was a photo opportunity for her...

"Ok brother, stand there and do something!"
Yes, she calls him brother.

"Now take my picture being silly!"

There were many more stumps
and many more pictures.

But she couldn't pass up the stairs either.
"Brother! Pretend you're walking up the steps!"

Mom: "You know what they say about paybacks, Becky.
Got ya!"

I was ordered to take this shot.
I'm glad I was.  I like it.
They really look like they love each other.

He made it!

Helping his sister.

Awww...what a gentleman!

They hiked, they climbed,
they conquered...
they lived happyily ever after.

I'm sure this was way too many photos for most
but believe when I tell you...
there were ALOT more
and I spared you. :)

Oh my goodness, Jill!

Thank you for sharing all of this loveliness with us. Becky and Brother are beautiful and handsome!
And I would think he's come for her graduation?

Best of luck on your future, Becky! You've worked hard and deserve to have a wonderful time tomorrow!

Mom, congratulations to you as well, as you've put two through school now, and while life goes on and mothering and the worrying goes on, this part of history is over.

My children are 42, 41 and 37 and still call each other Sister, Brother and Little Brother. Have since they were born when she was a year old and I told her she was his sister, and he was brother, she always called him brother. When the youngest came I figured he'd be called by name, but nope.

Have a wonderful time tomorrow Jill! And Becky, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Much love,
Donna

From the looks of the photos, it was a real good day!

-My mother in law calls her twin brother "Brother". She has never used his real name. :) When my daughter was writing out his thank you card for her graduation gift, she addressed him as "Uncle Brother". LOL

Oh Jill how precious. I can hear the melancholy in your words. It's hard to be a Mom and have your kids grow up on you! Lovely walk and lovely children.
