Going Nutty

This guy is after
the peanut butter!

He doesn't think I see him.

But I do...

And he's off!

The feeding cage you see is filled
with a mixture of peanut butter and cornmeal.
All of the birds (and squirrels..dang it) love it!
This time I added a few dried cranberries and
they seem to love those too.

They think that if they hold still, you can't see them...silly squirrel :)

Like your new look!

I can't believe how many squirrels you have. I wish I could see one around here. Unless I go to a near park, there are none here. Maybe they don't come by because of my dog Roscoe.
Enjoy your birds, squirrels and any other critters that decide to stop by. Now with the cranberries, who knows which others will visit.
Have a wonderful friday Jill.

You need some cats to scare them away! Great pics!

I would love to experiment with food for the feeders, but I don't know if I have picky eaters:)

Morning Ms. Jill...mom and I think the new word verification is absolutely hateful we detest it too!!! Mom says it actually hurts her eyes. We 100% agree with your post yesterday!!

Mr. Squirrel best be on his p's and q's and not be a hog with that yummy sounding suet...do you have recipe?
If so could you send it to Mom in an email?
Hugs Madi

My mom, in all her years of wisdom, thought if she gave the squirrels their own food, they'd leave the feeder alone. Now, she lives in a track home, so feeding them and keeping them in the neighborhood is not a welcomed idea. She would get stale bread from the Senior Center and feed them in an old Webber BBQ - PROBLEMS?? You ask? Yes - oh yes - they didn't just want the stinking bread, after all, no peanut butter, and no dried cranberries! They got up in the feeder and would scatter all the food out for sandwich filler!

Squirrels!

Hugs, Donna

I know the squirrels get more than the birds from the feeders at my house.

Is there anything birds eat that squirrels don't? You should do a study.
