Ha I do hope he got his breakfast in peace Jill,LOL.I love them but actually we only have a very few here and there.Yours would way outnumber mine lol.
Oh Jill... why, oh why do people not like squirrels? Yes, I know ALL about them, and EVERYTHING they do, but they are God's creatures as well... why do people feed the birds yet shoo the squirrels away? I love them... I give mine their own Squirrel box full of food... have you tried that? Thanks for sharing the pic, I am on the squirrels side on this one!... xoxo Julie Marie
MOL Ms. Jill been there done that!! Those tree rats are persistent. As Mom says she doesn't mind if they eat but they should not be piggish!! Hugs Madi
LOL I so had to give in... I bought one of those spike hangars and added corn cobs that are dried. I get them from my feed store The squirrels stay there most of the time and leave the seeds alone "most" of the time
Because the squirrels are such interesting critters:) They are so acrobatic....I don't know if I could tell them to go away because they make me smile:)
haha....I thought I had found a squirrel proof feeder...made of metal and chain...but the other day, it was down on the ground and emptied of it's load of seed. The good news is that the feeder was not destroyed which is so often the case.
LOL! I just sat here watching one bury a nut in my garden! So cute!! I love them...my Dad actually had a "pet" squirrel he trained to eat nuts out of his hand! He named her Myrtle :) Hugs, Cindy

Must document the crime for the prosecution's side, as I assume there will be a trial. :)

Have a nice rest of the week.
I have heard that people grease the lines or stakes that lead to their bird feeders. Lol. That might make for some really fun photos! Zip! : )..

If I had the opportunity to shoot a picture before shooing the varmint away, I would have done the same! Great job, Jill!
We never miss a blog photo opportunity, Jill!! Almost everytime I take a photo now, my son says: "future blog post?"!
Awww let that squirrel have a little bite. I know then he will want more and more.

They ARE little varmints aren't they??? Pesky little critters. AND a tiny bit cute too.
they drive me crazy......trixie chases them up a tree for me.....and that lasts until her back is turned.
We don't get any squirrels around here so I like to see your pictures.
I understand they are mischievous, we don't have them so they're always just plain cute whenever I see them photographed... thanks Jill! :D)
Squirrels almost always win, Jill, so don't feel too bad. :)

Those rascally squirrels! When the squirrel police come at least you'll have photographic evidence on him/her. Hehehe
Don't feel bad, Jill, I would have taken an picture first too!
Lovely poem for your Rural Journal entry.
