A Proud Mom Sharing

As most of you know,

my daughter Becky was selected as a

Student of the Month.

I am so very proud of her  and I hope

you will indulge me in sharing what her teachers had to say about her.

Here she is after the awards were passed out,

celebrating with a friend:

One teacher wrote:

"Becky is eager to learn new things and tries hard to do the best she can everyday.

She  loves to be creative and is patient with me when she needs help.

Becky makes me smile!"

The other wrote:

"Becky is a lot of fun in classes.  She loves to laugh, she has a great sense of humor

and is kind to others.  She is very creative, likes to be artistic and has a keen interest in fashion."

And...

"Becky is one of the most generous people I know; every year at Christmas time she brings in a toy for a less fortunate child.  She likes to make other people happy and is always sharing something with her friends and teachers."

And finally...

"She is a very good friend.  She is thoughtful, caring and has a great heart."

Proud isn't even a strong enough word for me to explain

how I feel about her.  I had to fight back the tears as I listened and recalled

the advesity she has had in life and the lesson she has taught me...

Do not EVER give up!

My deepest thanks to those that nominated her and seeing her

not as "just a special needs student" but a person

that has much to offer this world.

She received a lovely certificate and selected two passes

for the local movie theater.

It just doesn't get any better then this.
