For a few years now,
a good friend of mine
comes out to spend the weekend.
We bake for 2 straight days.
Here are the fruits cookies of our labor.
From top left to bottom right:
Russian Tea Cakes
Spumoni: Log, Sliced and Baked
Ginger Snaps
Spritz: although I forgot to take a picture of the red ones! (can anyone recommend a decent cookie press? I have 3 and struggle with them all)!
Peanut Butter Blossoms
Snickerdoodles
She has a large family
so she gets most of the goodies.
Our freezers and
families are mighty happy!
Left to do:
Fudge ( my downfall)
and
Sugar Cookies.

Oh yum, these all look delicious. I bet you enjoyed your time in the kitchen. Nothing like immersing yourself into it.
Enjoy the fruits (cookies) of your labour :))
They look so good! i haven't done any baking yet, and this is the week to get started.
Holy cow...never seen anything quite like that! How fun to have a friend to share your tradition with!
You and your friend have worked very well. Lots of nice cakes :)Your families are very lucky.
OH MY GOSH...MS JILL
are you a professional baker?
The cookies are GORGEOUS and I bet your home smells yummy. My peeps drug a huge green thing in the house yesterday then spent the afternoon trying to make it pretty enough to leave in the house. They could have just left it outside and saved lots of time...just sayin'
Hugs Madi

These are the first Xmas cookies I have seen this season yet. I need to SEE the cookies to get more into the spirit! Thank you!
Oh, they look very yummy, yummy!! Your family and friends are very lucky to enjoy such delicious cookies! Are all of them typical Christmas cookies?? Each of them must have an interesting story, I guess. I am hungry.
Best wishes,
keiko
Oh my, a girl after my own heart! I do the same thing and I'm so glad to see someone else does! Your cookies look really good! Russian Tea Cakes I haven't made for years! I just got a Pampered Chef Cookie Press I hope is good - I will let you know if it is easy after I try it!
I'll bet you and your friend have a blast in the kitchen!
Blessings,
Donna
Your cookies look really good. I saw this press on QVC yesterday that I was so tempted to purchase. It was under $20 and it was ELECTRIC. You could use it as a cookie press but also to decorate. The lady was pushing these cookies out of it so fast and with no problem at all. I have tried a few cookie presses and they always give me a headache. I think I'm going to go look on their website for it. Enjoy your day!
Wow - they look wonderful! I hope you saved some for when your friends drop by ;)
Yumm
Jill! What a great way to get it all done and with someone fun to do it with! I love the fudge too but sugar cookies with butter cream frosting!!! OH HEAVEN!

Oh Jill, that looks scrumptious!! All of those are my favorites.... Except I've never had the spumoni...I'll have to give them a try. Warm Hugs,
I wondered if we were going to see photos of your sweets. Now, if only George Strait were to come and help, I might take up baking.
p.s. those ginger snaps are calling my name.
They look yummy! I've tried for the past two years to get some of my gal friends together for a cookie baking party, but the weather always cancels it for us! :)
Oh, my GOSH! Those cookies look amazing! I wish you would bake for me. I haven't even started and I don't really like to do it, but I like to EAT it!
Jill, I love how your dressed up your blog for Christmas.
Mmmmmm looks good :)
Can I come over. I would love to have a cookie or 2 or 3 with you while we sit in your backyard enjoying the view, snow and some hot chocolate. LOL.
Your blog is so fun to read. You always have such different things to post about.
TFS
My Sister loved George at one time.
