A Ship and a Tug

Just  a couple
of fun boats
from our North Shore trip.

The William A. Irvin

This ship hauled ore and coal as well as
dignitaries and guests on the Great Lakes.
She was launched in 1937
and was put it layup in 1978,

Edna, The Tugboat.

She was the last coal fed, steam powered tugboat in operation
on the Great Lakes.
She was built in 1896 and served Two Harbors, MN. until 1981.
For 2 years, during WW1, she was seized but the US Government
and converted for saltwater duty.
She was restored in 1994.

I love the romance of the ships and tugs on the Great Lakes. I used to live near one of the shipping canals that fed into Lake Michigan. Lots of cool history on these waters.

Its been awhile. Maybe big boats in Duluth. I love the Goose story. Strange but funny. We have a similar experience once with a Mama bear on the Sawbill Trail...:)_

She is just red all over, isn't she?

I love tugboats! One of our good friends is a tugboat captain/riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River in New Orleans. :D

Keep in mind a resume is just part of the puzzle. It should always a wise idea to keep it up-to-date and eye-catching.
satta king The resume alone will not decide your eligibility for the intended position. Employers are seeking confident and dedicated people that can help their positions. Consider your different strengths and highlight them.
