I was going through
pictures during my mini break
from school,
when I came upon my header
shots of different paths
I've taken.
They seemed
like a natural for my blog,
since I never know which
direction I am going,
until I sit down to write.
Much like life itself.
We always have choices.
Right or left.
Right or wrong.
Selfish or unselfish.
The list is exhaustive..
Sometimes, decisions
come so easily.
Others, like now,
not so easily.
A child, striving for independence
he is unlikely to ever have.
Wearing on a mother's heart.
but resolved
as he seems to have
finally seen the light.
Deciding to move or not.
The excitement,
the anticipation
of starting over.
The work!
And the realization
that has struck me
over and over
and over and over...
the last several weeks.
Everyone has a story.
It's something I need
to remember
as I struggle to
make my own decisions
in the coming weeks.
We are in this thing
called life together.

Jill this is beautiful!! Yes we are all in this together and every single person has a story. So well-said my friend.
you ain't kidding. i love stories. i seem to be the type of person who gets to hear a lot of them. i have to remind myself that some folks need to talk & i'm just there to listen. when you need a friend i am there. i think it goes toward that "pay it forward" type of thing. you know.

Yep, we are all in this together. How true. And very few of us know where we are going. Actually, maybe none of have a clue. :)
With four teenage/young adults in my house I know of what you speak. Letting go so they may choose their own paths... This is my next challenge.
