Freedom

Raised in a family
that served in the military,
I have always been
patriotic.

My heart always swells
when I see a flag...
or an eagle.

Not the best
photos, I know,
but none the less,
I want to share them.

It's a reminder to spread our wings...

to reach beyond the stars,
to do the best we can,
to achieve.

And to enjoy our freedom.

*I wrote this prior to the tragedy in Boston.
God Bless America.
United We Must Stand.

Eagles are such majestic birds. Interesting that you wrote this before you heard about the Boston tragedy.
