Someone I work with,
a teacher,
one that I adore,
has gone through more
in the last few months
than most must endure
in a lifetime.
Diagnosed
and treated twice
for bronchitis.
Still coughing
from the toes up,
diagnosed
and treated for
fluid around
her heart.
Which lead to the diagnosis
and treatment
of a brain tumor.
Yes,
all in the matter of 6 months,
the last two illnesses
within
two weeks of each other.
Monday,
she returned to school
after a lengthy absence.
But she wasn't alone.
Her husband came with her.
And watched over her.
Assisted her as needed.
Or sitting quietly in a corner.
Doing or not doing
whatever she needed.
This is what love looks like.
How privileged
I was to see it.

So happy she has wonderful support and love from both her husband and you.
SHe seems like a very strong woman, not ready to throw in the towel. That is admirable. And her husband, what love for her he has. That is what true love really is about. TFS. Ana

I noticed "treatment" for the brain tumor; hoping that means that it's curable!
And I can fully understand her husband doing that; mine would do the same for me. It's wonderful to be loved that much by someone....
I know that spoke volumes to the students, too!
Oh no! I hope she will be okay. Thanks for sharing.
May I have her first name so that I may pray for her please?
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it.

Dear Jill, God bless your friend...she is blessed with a husband who took his vows seriously, through better or worst, through sickness and through health...I will remember them both in my prayers. Love, Penny
I'm so sorry your friend has gone through all of her trials. I hope you through the worst of it and begins to feel lots better.

Some husbands are truly amazing!
Every once in awhile some guy thinks of something better to do than go to Jereds. Nice story.
So sorry about your friend's diagnosis, but hoping they found it in time. xo
