Dusk to Dark

Do you feel it?
The night air,
full of moisture
settling upon you skin.

Do you see it?
The spark of
a lightning bug
fluttering near?

Sh....
Do you hear it?
The chorus of frogs
singing in the
distance
daring you to speak?

Do you sense it?
I'm thinking
of you right now.

Do you know?
I wish upon
the
stars for you.

Have you heard?
I care about you
and
pray for you.

Lovely thoughts, Jill...I live hearing the outside world at night during the summer. There's not quite like it.

that is so sweet. i often do the same thing at dusk - i go outside after the dogs have come in, listening to the night, and think about the folks i love and care for.
