Thank Goodness for ...

Autopilot.

It was a steamy, hot day.
My air conditioner wasn't working.
Once the temperature reached 94 degrees,
it was time for pictures
before our departure.

Here are a few shots of the
big day.

The Graduate

The grad with her big brother.

My children and me.

Kiss before saying goodbye.

It was a relief to get into an air conditioned car
and to dine at an air conditioned establishment,
the kids with their Dad and I with a friend.

We all met back up at school
for a long, hot, lovely commencement program.
I was proud as could be.

As my title indicates, I am glad
for being able to be on "auto-pilot" through
times like these.
I was able to get through
it all without a tear.
Truth be told,
I've cried so much over the past month,
I think I was just all dried up!

Saturday morning,
the kids left with their Dad for 5 days
0f (hopeful) fun.
It was my first night without
at least one of them home for
in at least 6 years.
(Please don't tell my kids that Mom didn't
get to be until 3:30 a.m.)oth

Two weeks until the party
to celebrate Becky's achievements
with family and friends.

I read Becky all of your comments and well wishes on Friday.
We both enjoyed them and appreciated
them so much.
Thank you!

I'll be trying to catch up with all of you this week.

Dear Jill, Congratulations to Becky, and to you dear Jill. BTW you are so lovely, nice to put a face to your words here. It takes so much to get a child through school to young adulthood, no small feat! Enjoy your break, the calm before more partying! Love, Penny

Congratulations to Becky for accomplishing the first of many big achievements in adulthood. Thank you to big brother for coming and taking time to spend helping sister feel so darned special, and mom and a friend - Mom - you did it! #2 all through!

Your should be so proud of Becky, but also be proud of yourself for getting through it all and not lose your head along the way.
Hoep you have fixed your air conditioner and are cool now. We have been having 94 to 96 degrees here in Miami Florida, but what is really bad is the humidity.
