I realize that to some,
maybe even most,
a tree stump is just
a stump.
But when I look at them,
my imagination takes over.

Can't you just imagine something curling up in there for protection?

|
Do you see a face?
Or an animal? |
|
I'm sure a few fairies reside here. |
So what do you think?

i bet there's at least some creepy crawlies enjoying those spaces. :)
Hi Jill... the first one is surely a home for a little raccoon family, the second one is a garden gnome who watches over everything and the third one is definitely the fairies abode... thanks for sharing, xoxo Julie Marie
The second looks a little like a baboon face, and the third? I actually think it might be a gnome's home;) Bonnie
I think the tree stump is magnificent and home to fairies.
I think I love your imagination......
I agree with you that a stump is NEVER just a stump. :))
an interesting tree stump for sure, i hope someone is calling it home!!
i see a heart, at the top of #2 and for some reason #3 reminds me of the wish bone from a turkey on thanksgiving dinner!! weird...??
There's always something going on inside a stump- usually something creepy and crawling.
Love these photos and yes, stumps make my imagination run wild! Keebler elves maybe??
You are very creative . . . I see a Guernsy cow in the middle photo. see the nose, one ear on the right . .
My hubby searches out things like this and brings them home for the woods. I will see if I can take some photos . . .
I don't think there are any fairies, just chipmunks in our woods!
Lynne beat me to it but thats what I was going to say for number two--a cow. 'Course I do have cows on the brain as you probably know. lol
I'm sure there is a snake in the stump, I see a cow's head in the 2nd photo, and I'm most certain the fairies are sleeping.
I saw the cow also! I would love to make a little fairie house!
Interesting spots indeed :)
I like how hollowed out stumps provide shelter for those critters -- interesting finds, Jill!
Oh I'm sure fairies live in the last photo! Love these!
I just hope you don't get bit! Just kidding - I did see an animal or something in the wood of that tree. sandie
Yes, a perfect spot for some lizards or something wanting a home. I love that gnarled tree trunk too.
