I absolutely love
looking up at trees.
The way their limbs
twist and sometimes
intertwine
seems so magical to me.
It transports me away
from the here and now
and to a peaceful place
These were all taken
at the river.
I hope you enjoy them.
Where do you look for peace and calm?

Hey Jill. Its funny you blog about this because just this weekend I was telling my husband how incredible the way trees twist and turn. We were admiring how incredible mother nature was.
I find my peace in my home. Whether its out side in the yard or in the house. I love being in my craft space.
TFS. Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Looks like that is your "safe place of being.".
I like a woods full of white pine, to sit leaning next to one of the trees and smell the pine, listen to the sounds and feel quiet. It is peace, for me.
I go there in my mind when the real thing isn't possible.
Very peaceful! Doing crafts or crocheting is my peace.
I often like to just go sit at the base of a tree to think. They are very calming.
I do too we must be kindred spirits.
What a creative post.

Me too! Just beautiful Jill!
I love looking at trees too! They are fascinating. You got some great shots!
I have great respect for the big trees. They've weathered so much to be what they are! :)
Beautiful photos! I love trees so much, but to find peace, I go in my bedroom, shut the door and lay on my bed.
one of my favorite views is from the front porch, looking up through the huge oak tree. :)
Your photos are all so pretty Jill... (I thought you would show the full moon for sure!)... love these gorgeous trees... I turn to Nature for peace and calm... it's my therapy... I have never been to a spa nor do I want to go to one... I just walk my garden paths for the serenity I desire... love to you, xoxo Julie Marie PS Is today the big day???
A book store...Nice!
Love the photos Jill! Nice shots!
Enjoy the day...

Ahhh, there's nothing like a good bit of shade on a sunny day!
Great photos Jill- have a great week!
One of my favourite things is lying on the ground on a sunny day and looking up for hours at the waving branches of the trees.
Yes and even dead trees have personality.
Beautiful pictures! I love to just look up at the sky and the clouds when I need some peace! Or the ocean is also nice, but I'm not near the ocean anymore! Enjoy your day!
Jill, I often lay back and gaze up into the trees. I find the design inspires me. Lovely pictures. Bonnie
I have always loved looking up at the tree canopy...it's sort of fairytale-like to me. :)
Beautiful shots, Jill!
Looking up through the canopy of the trees does look peaceful and calming. I love to enjoy nature too for peacefulness and quiet.

I love looking up at the trees with you - I enjoy that - especially when they are unique and interesting looking. I also look up to the Heavens. Sandie
I live blocks from Lake Michigan and always walk there when I need quiet or have to think- also love to ride in the country with the windows down and see all the trees and fields.
Love it, I would have to say the water be it the ocean or a lake. I also love to sit outside and listen to the wind blow through the trees and the rain on the metal roof top.So I guess I have more than one calming place.

Trees are indeed beautiful. I especially like seeing their lines in winter without the leaves, but I also like the greenery. :)
So beautiful and, yes, it is a peaceful scene.
I love your river walk photos and commentary Jill :D)
