What Is Wrong With Me Now?

I love the look (and smell)
of a freshly mowed lawn.
It brings me peace.
I need peace for a moment this morning.

It's that time of year for me.
Last Monday
was the meeting at my daughter's school.
The one I was late for.
And embarrassed.
Tuesday through Thursday was
a lot of housework and yard work.
Friday was getting daughter to school very early
for her Senior breakfast and an appointment for my son.
I went to the wrong place!
I made it to the right place on time.

The weekend?
A mix of fun and emotional out bursts.
Daughter. Not me.
At least,
not yet.

Today,
a meeting an hour away
for my son.
I do know where I'm going
and what time to be there.
I hope.

If you don't hear from me on Tuesday,
I was wrong.
Send help.

Nice green . . . it looks like "John" is treating you well! That is a "good thing" isn't it?

Distractions, and something on your mind - that all. Perfection is for moments, not for painting your whole life.

And just to prove that thing I said about perfection - I even misspelled "that's"

Oh wow Jill, your yard is huge. I wish there were home around here with yards that big. Most homes here in Miami have very tiny yards except for the older homes and most have had additions added to them or a pool.
I could only imagine how many miles an hour your mind must be going to miss an appointment time or go to a wrong place. You must slow down before you get yourself in some other trouble.

I forgot my grandson's birthday and my daughters birthday all in one weekend. I feel like the worst Mom and Grandma ever. I know how it is!

Morning Jill but the good news is you STILL have your wonderful sense of humor. Don't feel bad about getting lost Mom loses the car in parking lots. thank goodness she has a key with a horn beeper on it. She just starts pressing the button until she finds the car.

Oh my, you're so right! That lawn is awesome, my friend!

I pray this week is less chaotic for you and peaceful. No need to send out the search party, if you get lost, heck, just have some fun where ever you end up!

Emotions of a high school senior - how many of us can write a page in that book? Oh my goodness! It's a liberating time for them, but scary - all the emotions of "OK, I'm going to be an adult, wait, wait, I don't know how - will anyone notice??" My daughter, who is my eldest, oh my, her senior year, I wasn't sure if we'd both survive! It was wonderful, horrible, magical - the emotions rode high, very high as you are experiencing. I'm not sure how we survived the ups and downs except I realized they were normal, whatever normal is!!

This to shall pass, Mom!

May your new week be blessed!
Big hugs,
Donna

Take care of yourself.

Sometimes it is hard to fit everything in and to do everything
the way you think it should be done.

Jill, It is such fun to read about your "life"--you make everything amusing! Some days are just like that--nothing ever seems to go just right. And, with 2 kids around, life is never peaceful, calm, or easy. I hope we hear from you on Tuesday, if not, help is on the way. Take care. Mickie ;)

LOL!! It all seems to happen at once. When I am scheduled like this, like I usually am, I look at all the steps involved and try to enjoy the little things in between....like the smell of freshly mown(mowed?) grass:)
