Ahead of the Game?

Go ahead.
Laugh at me.
It wouldn't be the first time
I got teased for being so "ahead of the game."
But if there's one thing I have learned
as a single parent,
get started early!

Max is apparently bored.

Therefore, with 54 days until the 'big party',
the numbers are growing and I have the following:

100 Pink solo cups,
180 napkins,
120 paper plates,
480 pieces of plastic ware,
24 bottle of bubbles,
6 fluffy hanging flowers,
24 swirly hanging decorations,
5 hanging fan decorations,
3 silk flowers,
100 feet of table covering,
3 party signs,
375 mints,
192 or so cans of pop,

12 mason jars wrapped and ready to hang,
1 personalized banner
and 10 sky lights!

I have washed the deck to prep for staining.
I have cleaned and stained 3 benches
and two chairs.
1 bench and 2 chairs to go.
I've spot cleaned the carpet
and am preparing to shampoo it.
Bathroom painted.
Becky's room painted.

The invitations have been sent.
The grocery list has been made.
Becky's dress has been purchased.
Much cleaning to go.

And the emotions?
ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE!

But I am woman...
hear me roar.
ha!

You seem to have everything under control. Planning is always key. And to have a to do list is the best.
I am so glad that I am done with all this already. Especially my youngest big 15's party with couples dancing and all. Every week they would have practices at my house and these kids had to be fed. Thankfully I had rented a hall and they took care of the foods, flowers and my sister and husband helped with the decorations. If not I probably would have gone crazy.
Have fun with getting the rest of the stuff done.

Wow! You are prepared. I usually start thinking about these things about a week or so before... :)

Oh my word you are prepared and I say well done. Absolutely no sense in waiting until the last minute to do all of those very important things.
Early prep will allow you to enjoy Becky's special day with her.
Tell Max if he is bored I'm sure there is something you can give him to do.
Hugs
Madi and Mom

You roar girl and I like to do things ahead of time so it won't all have to be done at the end - rushed. Is this her graduation party? How many are coming? It will be fun. sandie

Wow, that really is planning! I'd give myself a medal if I had done all that- it would be well deserved.

375 mints? Now that's details! I am in the presence of greatness! I'm with Debbie - been put down for being a 'Martha', but don't care! It's a good thing! You just keep that head of steam going, Jill, and it will be a party to remember. I hope you will share pictures with us :)

Wow, Jill!

Good for you! Better to be early than be late and run out of time and be frantic!

It will be a day to remember in your daughter's life and maybe you will have time to actually enjoy yourself during the party!

I think it's great!
Blessings,
Donna
