Want a Little Cheese...

with that whine?

Um..yea..OK..
but I'd rather have some with some
wine, if ya know what I mean!

I really had no intentions of blogging today.
But, I'm tired.
I needed a break.
And, well,
I miss chattering away
and running the risk of boring
you all.

So here's my update.
No pics...yet.
Both rooms are painted.
No paint on carpets.
Actually,
a minimal amount on me (for a change).
Becky's room is 90% put back together.
Bathroom is 10% back together.
Can't get those darn cabinets up alone.
Dang, I hate that!
Putting junk away.
Does it ever end?
Needing to clean out paint closet.
A time consuming job
in more ways than one.

Prom is getting closer
(April 14). I know!
But live here
and you'd believe it was tomorrow!
The two girls will be escorted
by the token male, as planned.
However,
yesterday,
the second boy asked Becky to go with him!
My girl stayed true to her previous commitment.
Whew.
But not the second boy may not go!
Drats!
Still a month to go...
so stay tuned.
This could change...
again.

So how's your week going?

well, i'd say the 2nd boy should go and they should all go as a 4-some. but that seems too easy, i know... :)

I agree....maybe a group of 4 isn't a bad idea:) No one is left out. They'll all dance together anyway:) I've been to a lot of these dances and it's always a blast. Just none of that grinding stuff that teenagers like to do!:) Sounds like you got a lot done. With a house, the work is NEVER finished:)

Hi Jill! I figure that the 'kids' will figure out and the one who may not go, probably will!

I hope you enjoy your day--I'm feeling a bit blah myself...

A 4-some to the prom sounds like a lot of fun! Hope you get through all your chores soon. I got the next three days off from work! TG!

Can't Becky go w/ 2 escorts, since one escort can take 2 girls? Seems only fair...

While running errands today I wondered about the painting, hope you weren't exhausted or covered in paint...lol
Thanks for the update.

Things could all change in a week...

Don't worry your pretty little head!

It will all end up okay.

I like Lisa @ Two Bears' reasoning! Congrats on all the hard work. We've been cleaning out the garage and having a yard sale....we have lots of left over paint etc. to!

Drama , drama and more drama. Hopefully by the 14th, the second boy will change his mind and go. Congrats to becky for keeping her word. That is a very good thing. True to her word.
Painting really is a drag even though I do like to paint. But hate the picking up the mess afterwards, like cleaning the brushes. Yuck. Disposable ones are the best because you could throw them out, but not the best to paint with.
I went to shopping this morning and now I was crafting since it has been raining since I got home. hate this weather. I want it to go away. RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY.

Hi Jill -

The suspense - - - can't we see one wall??? Just one???

The second young man could go with the two girls and token male, and they could make it a group thing! Oh my, to be so popular! Please, you said April 14th, and I thought, Oh my goodness, and remembered how late it already is!! Where has the first quarter of the year gone?

Looking forward to hearing more about the painting and dating!

Have a wonderful weekend, Jill!

Blessings,
Donna

I am up to my ears in boxes today. We are getting ready for a move - still in California, but you know how tiring a move can be. Trying to stay positive. I hope the plans for the Prom turn out well. That will be a special day.

Glad your painting project is "coming together". Always a "mess" getting things put away again. Life with teenagers--a thrill a minute. Have a great weekend, Jill. Mickie;)

Hi Jill, Three cheers for you! Feels so good to finish a project. As for prom, it will soon just be a happy memory and you'll feel so good then too! Love, Penny

Sounds like quite a time, but all in all, it will be worth it once it is finished. : ).. Plus, hopefully once you finish painting, hanging cabinets and putting things away, etc, you won't have to do that again for a long, long, long time. Yay! I would definitely agree with ya on the wine! Great job Becky on sticking with the plan, although I also agree with the other guy tagging along. Good luck!

You're doing well with the painting Jill.
Lots of fun leading up to Becky's big night!

The sense of accomplishment that comes from a DIY project is pretty heady stuff. :) Can't wait to see the after photos, Jill. It must be fun to have girls to get ready for the prom. Never experienced that, as I have a son. Living vicariously through you. :)

Love to see pics when it is done.
It will be fine with the kiddos, I agree with the others, they should all go together, it will be a night to remember.

Big Hugs Kathy
