Our Walk Continues...

It's a bright and sunny November day here, however, the winds are wild and it's cold.  The sunlight helps to lift my mood and for that I am thankful.  Some days, you have to make your own sunshine but today isn't one of them.

I thought I'd post some more from our walk the other day.  For those of you that asked, this field lies adjacent to my property.  It is currently owned by the school distrcit and until now, had been leased by a farmer.  We have enjoyed walking this path for many years.

The exit of the path leads here.

The corn field us surrounded by many trees,
mostly the great and sturdy oaks.

There are three ponds along the way.

I daydream of sitting by them and daydreaming...

yet I never take the time.
However, I do enjoy
the serenade from the frogs that live here
during summer's hot nights.

Walking further,
this was my discovery:

Two of them side by side.

Care to guess what they are?

Coyote dens.
I often hear them singing
in the night and enjoy them,
but was somewhat unnerved at being this close to a den.

The final path, leading home.
Daydreams left behind.

How very beautiful Jill... I too love to hear the bullfrogs down the lane on a Summer's eve... and it would be so much fun to see the coyotes... I love all of God's precious little creatures so much!... but don't leave your daydreams behind... take them with you always... wherever you go... xoxo Julie Marie

You have a nice walk there! Not keen about coyotes, they seem to be everywhere now. Pretty ponds with nice reflections. Definitely refreshing!

What gorgeous photos...you're so lucky to have such a lovely path to walk along. I'm not much of a coyote fan (although I admit that they are kind of cute) ever since one absconded with one of our kitties when we lived in WA many years ago!

How nice to have such a great place to walk so nearby but the coyote dens...hmmmm. I didn't know they burrowed into the ground like that!

So that's where you get your fantastic reflection photos.

Dear Jill, I am not sure if my last comment took, so I am leaving you another comment. I think this path is lovely. I would be afraid being so close to a coyote den. I am sure that this beautiful path brings you much comfort. Blessings for a beautiful evening. Catherine xo

I like to hear frogs or coyotes and even roosters. Wonder what a trio of the three would sound like? lol

Dearest Jill,

That is an interesting post! Coyotes might be dangerous; I have no idea if they would be trouble on an empty stomach? We have heard them howl too at our friends' property near a lake.

Love to you,

Mariette

What a great place to take a walk. I really enjoyed the beginning and end of this lovely path you take. I would not have guessed Coyote dens as I've never seen one (the den that is).

coming upon a den like that would be a little unnerving, i'm sure. but very exhilarating too.
