Our First Snowfall

 Errands needed to be done.
Right before we left the house,
we enjoyed this little guy.

Notice there is no snow?

Our trip into town was uneventful.
Things changed on the return trip.

Luckily, this was only on the
upper right of the windshield.
My side was clear.

Visibility wasn't so great.

The roads were slick in spots.
We did see a vehicle
flipped over. :(

Whew.
Almost home now.
This is "our" street.

The trip was worth it though.
I finally got something for the birds.
I opted for a larger,
heated pet dish
as I just knew it would sit perfectly
on my deck table.

I can't wait to see some birds enjoy it.
Hopefully, you'll enjoy them too.

I do keep a plastic deck set out all winter.
I usually decorate it for the holidays.
This year,
I think it will be all done
for the birds.

Stay tuned!

My early morning sense of humor has conjured up an image of a several birds, sitting around, enjoying the dish as a hot tub....

Wow, do I wish we would get alittle of that snow. We only have clouds, sun and humidity. You are so lucky in some ways. I don't think I would want snow all the time, but every once in awhile would be nice.

The birds will love their new heated bowl. What a great thing to do for nature

Can't wait to see the birds drinking or bathing in it.

I'm sure they will love that! I can just imagine all the little birdie prints in the snow on top of the table! I don't like snow, but it is appropriate for this time of year - "Over the River and Through the Woods..."

I love the heated dish - that is so sweet! Down here, it has ben in the low to mid 70's and our leaves are just starting change and drop from the trees. Funny, huh? The snow certainly is pretty...the kids are hoping to get to see some at Christmas when we go to Michigan!

I have been wanting to get something for the birds in the winter, but don't want to get something expensive elaborate. I think I will get a heated pet dish! Thanks for the idea!

Aren't you the lucky one. I guess I better go buy my salt bags before the snow starts flying here. I drive a truck I need the added weight so I can get around otherwise its slip sliding away..... :)

Glad you made it home ok. Snow looks more beautiful only when you are safely at home enjoying a nice hot cup of tea in front of the fireplace.

Wow that was quite a snow storm. I detest driving in snow/ice.
Your birds will certainly appreciate your efforts.

No snow in UK yet but it seems a little cooler every day. A source of water that doesn't freeze up in winter shold soon become known by the local feathered population.

Oh my! I don't like these kind of storms that whoosh in without much notice. So glad you stayed safe.

Love your purchase -- I believe it will pay for itself in beautiful photos over the snowy months. :)

Your photos are beautiful! So much snow!

Here on the Central Coast of California, we don't see snow. So I appreciate seeing yours!
