Sunset versus Sunrise

This is the sunrise
from 2 days ago.

And this is last nights
sunset.

When I go back to review
my sunrises and sunsets,
it always takes me a bit
to identify which is which.
I depend on the layout
of the trees to help me
make the decision.

One other distinguishing factor
is that my sunset shots
always look like
there is water in the scene.
There is not.
It's merely the reflection
of the sun on
the hill
and the bounty of tall
grasses that made it seem so.

I think it's amazing.
I do love
autumn.
For it's sunrises
and sunsets.

I do not always get dramatic sunrises or sunsets, it all depends on the clouds (or lack there of) if there will be a nice shot or not.

(I can barely read your text today....!)
Sometimes I have to go by the surroundings to tell my sunrises from sunsets too!

i do like your new blog colors, but have to admit to having a bit of difficulty in picking out the black text on the dark brown background.

You're lucky to be able to see both. We only get the sunrises - our house faces the east. Still, our sunrises are pretty spectacular, so that's OK.

Yours do look very similar - both lovely!!

You're lucky to get both ... we get the sunrise, but not the sunset, which I much prefer. Lovely shots!

wonderful- It really does look like water! reminds me of a little spot down by the beach where you can look through the trees! so, when do you sleep?

I love sunset and sunrises they make me smile. We haven't had many of either due to cloud cover and dark skys.

Looks like you changed your text color. ;)

I can always tell my sunrise/sunset apart by the trees in the background.

New blog background looks great! We get beautiful sunsets where I live!

It's often difficult to see any differences between sunrise and sunset. The colours can be equally beautiful, that's for sure.

Lovely sunrise and sunset. I see far more sunsets that sunrises, but sometimes it is just to "cozy" under the covers to get up--I know I miss out. I'm definitely impressed with your "rising" time--that's pretty early to be getting up!!!! Hugs, Mickie :)
