The Orchard

The ride we took the other
day lead us straight to the apple orchard.
It was a beautiful day.
Perfect, in fact.
Here are some of the highlights.

I won't tell you how
much I spent on apples.
I did buy 30 lbs though.

Really...can you blame me?

.

Aren't these pumpkins
and gourds
beautiful?

Beautiful apples! Beautiful pumpkins!

I'm so jealous. I can't get pumpkins here until right before Halloween - they'll rot. It's just too hot. Although, we did have a cool front come through - it's been in the mid 50's in the morning! Woo Hoo! (It's still in the 80's by afternoon though)

I liked seeing the picture of your apple day, as well as the pumpkins. Nobody can do pumpkins as well as Americans! I once visited a pumpkin farm in Illinois and it left me dazzled.

Looks like a gorgeous day and although 30 lbs sounds like alot, I know it's not if you are canning. :)
