I've got that
itchy eyes,
runny, stuffy
kind of feeling this week.

I finally dared to
walk away from these today:
so I could prove to you all
that I do take good
care of my feathered friends!

See that chubby woodpecker
on the side of the tree?

And look at the
size of this

Hard to see as
they are already
turning dark
but those are two
amid the pine needles.

I have redeemed myself.
No more birdies
calling to me.
But man alive...
my trees and
feeders are filled with

I'm a happy girl!

Just a note for all of the mail swappers,
it's been a week since I assigned buddies.  I hope everyone
has mailed their cards or letters
and received some fun mail!

I need to get some seed for my feeders and get them hung up. I don't usually keep much out during the summer except for the finches. Just this morning, I've noticed the sparrows are now feasting at the finch feeder!

Oh Jill I have itchy eyes is the time of year that always gets me when the leaves start to dry up...Benadryl is wonderful.

Your fine feather friends are nearly as fat and sassy as Madi.

I think I hang my bird feeders in the wrong place or else there is a predator hanging out nearby. I am envious of your cute birds

Saw a blue jay yesterday for the first time since last spring. Reminded me I need to get some peanuts for the feeders, if they are not too expensive.

Love that red feeder -- I've seen it somewhere here in town and fell in love with it. :)
