Girls Weekend Continued

We had to.
There were two teenage girls, afterall.
What kind of mothers would we be
if we didn't let them shop.
Especially at the biggest mall
in the world
(I have now learned this may not be true).
Yes, we went to the
Mall of America.

I'm not here to argue if it's the biggest
mall in the world,
but I can assure you...
IT
IS
BIG!
And after a full day there,
we
were
tired!
But it was so much fun!
Especially for the girls...
cause they got stuff.
Stuff they like.
Clothes, jewelry,
you know,
dumb stuff like that!

We had a late lunch
at Bubba Gumps
(sea food)
before heading back to our hotel.

There was one minor detour through.
We just had...I tell you we HAD
to stop at a make up counter at another mall.
We adults couldn't pass up Bonus Days by
Clinique could we?
I mean,
it WAS a girls weekend.
And this girl was in dire
need of some wrinkle cream!
This time, Teresa and I BOUGHT
and the girls just watched!  teehee!
Then off to the hotel.

Once again,
we soaked in the whirlpool
(oh our aching feet)
and played in the pool.
Seven years ago we
had to force the girls out of the water.
THIS time, they went to the room
and WE grown ups stayed to swim!
Whod'a thunk it?
Not I!
ha!

Lindsey had decided she wanted
to make us supper.
She and her Mom
actually went to the grocery store
(I don't know how they could even walk)
and came back with all of the fixins' for this
wonderful supper!
Lindsey even made us garlic bread
in the microwave.
The girl has skills!

After this delightful supper,
we settled in to watch
Next Top Model.
I gave foot rubs
and Lindsey gave hand massages.
It was heavenly.

Especially since
Teresa bought us Cinnabons.
And I bought us Godiva Dark Chocolate.
And we were bad.
Very bad.
But it was all sooooooo good.
You won't tell anyone,
will you?
It was really fun
to be so bad.
Especially
with such good friends.
I mean,
a girls gotta do
what a girls gotta
do, right?
RIGHT?

to be continued.

Mall of America is on my bucket list. It is only like 6 hours away. Every year I contemplate skipping Christmas and just going there. Same amount of money spent I bet. Lucky girls!!
