Coming or Going? I Don't Know Anymore.

I'd like to begin today's post by assuring you, one and all, I did not run away with any of the roofers.  While they were hot, only due to the temperature, I am not hot in the proper sense of the word, here I am.  The good news is:  They finished the roof early Friday afternoon as the real heat of the day kicked in.

It is good to have it raining today and not having any leaks!

As I mentioned before, I was having very unreliable problems with the Internet.  My network had vanished and I was relegated to sitting on the floor with a very short leash (cable) tied to my computer.  I tried very hard to keep up with all of you on your blogs and tried to comment.  If I missed you, I am sorry.  So off to Best Buy I went on Wed. and was convinced I needed a new router.  As you all know, I am a computer dummy so I hired Geek Squad to come and hook it all up.  I had to wait longer than desired but am happy to report I had a delightful, intelligent "geek" out this morning and he got things up and running.  Although, I still feel like things are taking a bit too long to load but I am so happy to be off the floor and up at an adult level again.

In the midst of these really annoying little set backs, I have been preparing for the 18th birthday of my beautiful daughter...

which coincides with a four day camping trip!  Yes, I said four days.  I've never made it past two but won't be able to bail leave early this time as my sister and brother in law will be joining us for the last two days of our adventure.

And if this hasn't been enough, it is hot and humid here again ( I shouldn't complain as I know some of you have had NO break and need rain desperately) and my air conditioner has not been working properly!  If you recall, I'm not a very nice person when I am hot.  I will just say that last night was a very  l o n g night with little sleep.

So, to reiterate, I did not run away with a roofer. However, I might be tempted by any male person that is able to run, not walk, as far away from here as possible!

Alright!  I don't mean that last part and things aren't really that bad.  Just bothersome.  I have much to be grateful for and I am.  Just some days... (has anyone seen the wine)?  I didn't say that out loud, did I?

You are a brave soul to go camping when it's hot and humid!
No wine..but..how 'bout some peaches soaked in rum? It's practically a health food.

No way would I go camping this time of year! That tent or camper is going to be a literal sweat box! You are brave - I think - a better woman than I!

i'd say, skip the roofers and run off with the Geek! he'll be working inside in the A/C! :)

Oh, happy birthday too her! I agree w/ Tex, I'd take a Geek over a Roofer - I tend to go for the nerdy intellectual type ;-)

Have fun camping. 4 days sounds wonderful to me, lol!

I wish I could say "camping sounds like fun," but with this weather, I would be lying. You are a good sport and yes, your daughter is a beautiful young woman. I love her blonde locks. So very pretty. :)

Oh Jill, you crack me up! I was out driving in that storm, it was scary! We got soaked running from the van to the house. We lost power for 5 hours. I'm so sorry for all the little annoying problems you have had! Have a wonderful time camping and enjoy this humid free day! Happy Birthday to your daughter!
