And It Begins...

My summer flowers are presenting the last of their glorious blooms.  The one above is a sweet wildflower popping up through the pine needles out back.  Several of it's relatives appear too and make me smile each time I see them.

The cosmos are a tad late for me this year but, none the less, they are putting on their stunning display of colors for all to see.

The ever lasting Black Eyed Susan's danced in the gentle rains of the day.  They always stand at attention to greet the sun or the rain.

Pampas Grass prepares for the cold of winter by sprouting it's giant plumes that shall bend and and bow with each flake of snow.

The air blows cool through the screens tonight.  Summer is bidding us farewell and autumn is nipping at out toes.

Autumn is nipping at your toes, but it is still summer here. Several more days of 100+ temps this week. Your flowers are so colorful and lovely. Love the coreopsis! Mickie :)

The flowers are still pretty though. In the 50's I remember the first football game would be a cool night. No more, it can stay hot during the whole football season here.

Such pretty flowers. We are having so much rain at the moment and it is getting quite chilly. We haven't had much of a summer here this year. :(
Never mind I love autumn time.

Beautiful! What stayed outside, the hurricane destroyed, and the ones I brought into the garage during the storm are struggling.

Good thing it's the END of summer and not the beginning or I'd really be upset!

The photos of the flowers are beautiful! My cosmos got so big this summer. I brought a bouquest to work today of all white cosmos and hot pink tall phlox in a green Ball jar. Quite pretty. Summer is waning, but I find my flowers are perkier when it cools off. I wish we could skip the 92 degrees predicted for tomorrow. Keep gardening!
