And We're Off With a Bang!

Our 4th of July weekend started off with a bang.  Well, to be truthful, several bangs.  We had a terrible storm last night and were rendered without electricity for 15 hours.  Overall, we ended up lucky as others had huge trees down and we just lost a lot of sticks and smaller sized limbs.

The upside of it all, I got to sit on the deck and take some pictures of the awesome cloud formations.  Here are a few (maybe too many but I just couldn't decide what to leave out...sorry)!

And here is the amazing wonder that concluded our night...

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

Until next time!
Jill

oh, the last ones almost look fearfully like fire! (sorry, we're a tinderbox here...)

glad your power is back!

Aw, I hate it when our power is out! It's really hard on my boys, who are electronic junkies and don't understand why none of it will work! ugh.

You sure captured some amazing sky shots there!

Soma amazing sky shots Jill. It must have been good to see it come and go with out major harm. Wonderful to have electricity restored again.

Yes, like texwis, I originally though the last photos were fire. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized they were the sunset!

I thought they were fire too!!

I take tons of pictures of clouds too. I'm just fascinated by them, especially after (or before) a storm. Yours were beautiful!

No power for 15 hours must be something you are use to. Sure makes a person appreciate what we count on for life. If you have a camera in hand that time can go rapidly, right? I think it builds character. Your clouds are telling stories, boy do I love clouds too.

(Sorry to be late reading your post -busy weekend!)
Those storm pictures are amazing. A storm skirted us last night, but seemed to avoid our county. We could use the rain!
