Tis the Season

Here we are.
17 days until Christmas!
Where oh where does the time go?

I know you must all be busy with shopping, wrapping, writing out your Christmas cards and baking.  I hope you stop to enjoy
the many lovely joys of the season.

We've been very busy with medical appointments but we took a break
last weekend and had ourselves a wonderful time baking!
A good friend joined us and we spent 2 hours in the kitchen Friday night
and about 9 hours baking on Saturday!

I missed taking pictures of a few of the items but here's a little glimpse
into some of our holiday goodies!
Mmm....turtles!

Spumoni!  Just like the ice cream!

Two cookie presses later...we finally had Spritz.
Russian Teacakes
Who doesn't love Peanut Butter Blossoms?
Not shown...
Sugar cookies, date filled cookies and snickerdoodles.
Funny thing...
I can resist all of these.
But during the holidays,
FUDGE is a food group all it's own!
I'm leaving that til last so I won't be tempted!

We enjoyed laughing and having a break from all of the heaviness
that has enveloped us of late.
I hope you've had some fun too!

Cheers!

Wow. I am impressed! That is a lot of cookies. I always have good intentions of doing a bunch of baking and freezing stuff - but it never happens....partly budget considerations - butter is expensive, you know?!? Part is time. Part is that I get really tired from standing so long! I am getting old, you know. Maybe if I tried some Bailey's????

Kandi: Drop on by anytime. I'd be happy to share with you! Or give me your address!

Val: We will have MORE than enough to share.

Kayla: I need to remind everyone that my friend did take HALF of the cookies we made. Kayla....you're WAY younger than me! You just need a baking buddy!

Kandi AND Kayla: Mrs. Claus needs a little fun once in awhile too! The Bailey's definately does the trick! ;)
