I forgot!

Over the last month, I have planted several flower seeds in different areas of my property.  As I was scratching the surface to plant some seeds my son gave me for Mother's Day, I was quickly reminded as to why I stopped planting seeds.   I had already planted seeds there about a month ago!  I was nicely surprised this afternoon when I checked the spot and noticed some new seedlings raising their little heads up to the sun.  Thank goodness I didn't kill everything!  The fun now will be to see what blooms in that spot.
Once I have blossoms, I'll share them with you.
Last year, I just had to try one of those new Topsy Turvey Tomato plant hangers.  I had some success with it so was determined to try again this year.  The only complaint I had about it last year was the fact that my shepherds hook bent once the plant was mature and I'd water it.  Eventually, the plant touched the ground and many tomatos were left to rot on the ground.
If I was to have any success this year, I knew I had to try something new.  A friend's husband showed me (with pride, I might add) the set up he made using two by fours.  I was all for it!  However, as is almost always the case, I didn't have any two by fours laying around and no way to haul them.  So I did what I like to do best.  I scrounged through my sheds in search for something the last owners of this home might have left.  Luck was on my side when I found some boards.  Now, please don't ask me what the boards are because I don't know.  I just knew they were long and looked strong.  I had two bags of cement sitting in the garage so to work I went!  I  know you know you are figuring a picture will be forthcoming and it is...but before we get there, I will admit "my" construction work is very crude.  But you know what?  In this case I don't really care because it's got that "rustic charm" I do often refer to.  OK...not really but I did make it with my own two hands!
Here it is...with two tomato plants and for my first attempt ever...strawberries!

Do you have any idea what I might have found upon closer inspection?  Look closely with me.

A blossom!  I am actually going to get strawberries.  Well, at least four strawberries as there are three more blossoms!

All in all, it was a pretty good day in the garden.  I'll leave you with one of my favorite flowers (even though I can't recall the name).  Gee, it seems like I'm forgetting a lot of things, doesn't it?  My friend assured me she does it too. I hope she meant it and wasn't just trying to make me feel better.
Whatever her name is.
