Yes, It's True...

My home is for sale.
As well as my dreams.

All is well.
Just not enough of me to go around.

Looking to downsize.
Probably a townhome.

I pray I can find one
that will give me a little spot to plant...

and a spot to hang a bird feeder...
or two.

Not sure how I'll survive
if I can't.

All I can do
is what I always do,
take one day at a time.
And pray.
A lot.

I hope it's the beginning of something good.

Jill, I pray that all of your needs and dreams are met.
After so many years its hard to let go and move on to something new but I'm positive there is a special place for you where you will be happy.

My thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers ~:)

What a huge step, Jill, but you have been thinking about this for a while so you are likely doing the perfect thing for you. You can always plant in containers to keep getting you hands dirty.

It must be so hard. I hope you find the perfect spot.

Maybe you'll even be the grounds keeper and beautify the complex in which you live. Hoping you do get some space along with a new place to call home and many new memories to make.

Just found your blog through Tammy's.(Country Girl at Home) I too have my house on the market and it is very hard. BTW I also worked as a para for 30 years. The last 6 years were in training, para. A fun job to say the least. good luck with your house.

Jill, Look for something with a terrace or balcony. Change is never easy whether selected or imposed. In each of the end-of-the-year books I do for my classroom children, the last line on the very last page is always..."The last step of a journey, might be the first step of an even greater adventure". This is what I wish for you. Hugs! Bonnie

Jill, I'm sorry this is a hard time, but I know you're going to get through this. And my prayers are with you. Downsizing can be a very freeing experience. And I just know that you're going to find a place with all that you need, including a place for plants and bird feeders.

I know what it is like to have to move and downsize. When I divorced my husband I did just that. I left the bog home for a 3 bedroom townhome. I was happy though. It did take some time to adjust but I managed with my 2 girls. They were 9 and 7 then.
you will be fine. You are a very positive and independent woman. God is with you and will continue to be with you. beautiful flowers. TFS ana

Sometimes when we change things up, we get the chance to discover new things about ourselves. Here's to your new adventure, wishing you luck, happiness and some wonderful surprises :) Bring some of your garden with you, something old, something new...

I wish you the very best!

The worst part is the uncertainty. Once you are on level ground and have made a decision everything will work out just fine. Have faith.

Nancy said...

Maybe a little house with a big garden? Have been thinking of you since I found out about the move. Take care. xo
