On The Trail

At the suggestion of
my friend
Buttons,
I slid on my trusty
Sorrels
(I can't compete with Buttons
pink Cadillac boots)

and followed the trail of tracks to
see if she was right...
and right she was...
I had deer in the yard.

It would appear
I have several visitors.

Imagine how exited I was to find not one,

but multiple deer beds
right in my own yard.

They left many
other "markers"
but I thought I'd spare
you photos of that!

Early mornings, while it's still been slightly
dark, I've seen up to 5 deer at a time
run along
one edge of the yard.
I just didn't realize they
considered my yard
worthy of their
very own
bed and breakfast.

I'm so glad that I got
out there before the predicted snowfall lands.
It was a beautiful evening to do so.

  2. That is so uber cool! I know a lady who has a few deer make beds right in her front yard. Sometimes in the middle of the day.

Now you know - we have squirrel beds - AGAIN - in our attic!

  7. How cool to live in an area where deer run through it. I would love to see that. We have had cold weather but the sun is so hot, you could literally put on a bikini and get sun burned. I hate it. I wish we could have cold weather for a month long. Stay warm. Ana
