Welcome!

With cold fingers and nose,
I read the temp on the
thermostat this morning:
Why does 60 degrees feel so
nice in the spring and so cold
in the fall?

In typical Minnesota fashion,
we're to have a high tomorrow of
75 degrees.
I do love fall
but am not so happy when I can't turn on the heat.
My hero (the furnace repair man)
will arrive in the morning
to light my (furnace's) pilot light.
It will feel
good to just take the chill out of the air
in the mornings.
Although, the chilliness does get me up and moving
right away!

With a little help from my girl,
the tomato plants have been pulled,
annuals have been put to rest
and lawn decorations
tucked away until next spring.
The house is tidied up
and our bags
are packed for a new week at school.

I'd like to share with you
one of my favorite songs today...

The fall has come in quick, and we didn't really get any 'real' summer this year :/ Had to start wearing my winter jacket for the first time today, is raining and it's so much colder. Enjoy your day!

I know exactly what you mean...it was 68 in the house yesterday...which is wonderful outside but not so much inside. It was so good to let the heat pump rest though. It worked very hard over the summer. The Diva was following the sun puddles for sure.
Oh do I love the Letterman and especially Try to remember

I love when it starts getting cold at night. I like to be really cold when I sleep, and we have a separate control for the upstairs bedroom, and last year I never turned it on so I could be really cold at night. Last year's winter was mild, though, and some of the heat from downstairs does rise of course. But if it's 60* at night in my bedroom, I'm thrilled! I didn't use to be like this, but something happened to my thermostat when I was pregnant with the twins, LOL.

We were in the mid 40's this a.m. I come in and out of a sweater throughout the day, depending on what I am doing!!!
Love the Lettermen! Wishing you guys a great day.

Oh Jill, TRY TO REMEMBER brought tears to my eyes this morning. I was so young when that song came out. We were cleaning the porches and washing windows yesterday in the cool weather. I thought about putting up the lawn furniture, but said no, it's still summer. But Jill, it is not! Time to get ready for fall! Have a great week!

It's chilly here too, Jill. Our temps dipped down into the 40's night before last! Brr!

Doesn't it feel good to have chores like you guys have been working on finished? I love it!

Oh I love that song - I've not heard it for a while so it was nice to hear it again.
It's blooming cold here - which I don't really mind - what I do mind is the rain and wind we have got with the cold. That is just not nice :(
It is nice to be able to wear comfy jumpers and socks though isn't it?

Monday Morning it was 30 deg when I left the house. This morning 50. Yesterday shoes with fur inside. Today flip flops! It's a wonderful 77 deg now. I am having a real hard time letting go of nearly bare feet!

I have often wondered why the same temperatures feel so differently at different time of the year as well. I suppose it one of those mysteries.

Hope you get the heat fixed before it gets any colder. It sounds like you have been busy getting the nest ready for the colder weather that will be coming soon.

Wow what a throwback!!! Love this song. It reminds me of my grandparents at their home. I wish I were pulling the tomatoes with you. Sounds like my kind of weather. And great song:)

Wool socks at night and short sleeves during the day. Must be fall/autumn . . .

Try to remember . . . a day in September . . .
The song is ringing inside my head, listen up, you'll hear me singing Jill!
