Something to Ponder....

What do you think?

  1. Some people seem to have an inner happiness. But most of the happy people I know have evolved good ways of dealing with unhappiness.

  2. Good question and one I am trying to answer myself, day by day. We all have ups and downs in life. I think a big part of the key to "happily ever after" is developing the habit of focusing on the "up." Hope you have a great Sunday.

  4. That's an important question because we can't control what happens to us, but we can control how we feel about it :)

  6. You can try to be positive about all things, and that is good. It is impossible however, to be happy each day.

  8. It is all in the attitude...we make our own happiness or how we see things.

  9. Thought provoking question. As a Christian I think that "happily ever after" is based in my faith. However the feeling of being (Happy) every day is different thing altogether. There are parts of every day that I can be happy about but there are those times when I don't always feel happy as well.

  11. Yes...with an allowance adjusting and going with the flow. What makes you happy one day might not do it for you the next day....baby steps.

  12. Day by day is the only way!! It may sound as a cliche but positive thinking and not worrying too much can get you there! :)

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my blog, I appreciate them.

    Have a happy September. :)

  13. Good question. I think (in my very humble opinion) that some people are able to see the good in most all days & are happy because the choose to be that way.
I have a lot of medical problems that I deal with daily and if I were to dwell on it much, I'd be down in the dumps a lot. I choose to get up and make the most of my day & put on a happy face for not only myself but my family.
That's what works for me. :)

  14. That is a tough question. I guess I try to take my life in day tight compartments. It is much easier to be happy today. We really don't know if we will have tomorrow.
When I wake up each morning - I say - thank you God for another day.

  15. My husband died when I was 50 so I wasn't happy and of course thought I wouldn't be happy ever after but a person can pull themselves up by the boot straps and be happy again. Good question.

  16. That's a good question!!!
I try hard but some days it is definitely easier than others.
Having a sense of humour always helps though :))

  17. Hmmmmmm.... Well I think most people are happy most of the time. Some are happy some of the time and a few are never happy no matter what you do for them.

  19. I don't know but I think so. Happy is hard if you think about it too much. If you depend on happiness to come from the outside it won't happen. From within, day by day, yeah...that could work.

  20. Dear Jill, I don't believe that the Lord will give us more than we can handle. I think that when we look at our burdens and compare them to others we will always reach for our own troubles. I think that we then will rejoice in what the Lord had given us and thank Him for all that we have and for all that we don't have. In this way we will wake up each day and be happy for our blessings and be happy for our daily bread. Catherine xo

  21. Most of the time - yes. I didn't always feel this way. I think age has something to do with it. :)

  22. There's happy and then there's content. Having a baby is happy, winning the lottery is happy -- content is waking up every day.

Great food for thought, Jill. xo

  23. I guess if you can make everyday a happy ever after day you can. To me it's all in how you look at life. I mean if someone close to dies one day, is that happily ever after that day? I believe most people would say no, but I would say yes. Life is what it is, life, full of ups and downs and good times, and tragedy. So a better question could be, is there such a thing as happily ever after? It all boils down to personal perspective.
