Ramblings of a Mom

Perhaps
as you read this,
Becky is undergoing her
lumbar puncture
(11:00 a.m.).
Thanks to all of you
that have inquired about her well-being
and for sending prayers and good thoughts.

I'm hopeful we will
have answers soon.

Thanks to all of you
for the great ideas and
(much needed)
encouragement regarding
my pursuit for employment.
I appreciate them all
and have considered them all
very seriously.
It's all had to take a backseat for now
as my kids always have been
and always will be
my priority.

Many things I do know...
daycare isn't for me
nor is home health care.
Both seem so natural for me
but I can't do either one
anymore.

Having a special needs daughter
also means that I need
to find a PCA for her,
not an easy task in this neck of the woods.

So...
I still have more questions
than answers
but I bet I'm not alone.

I think I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes today:

"No man stands taller
than when he stoops
to help a child."
-Abraham Lincoln

Good day wishes to you all.

Hoping you receive the information you need to go forward. Holding both you and Becky in my heart.

I have another career suggestion...landscaping. Years ago I had a dear friend who turned her love of gardening into an extremely profitable business. Still thinking.

What does PCA mean? And I think that you give so much just living - I would think care taking would be a big job for you. I hope you find something wonderful.

God bless you AND your daughter, Jill...

I've been listening to EWTN radio a lot lately & have been hearing horror stories about how the medical field & government are increasingly trying to get mothers of special needs kids to abort them... I just don't understand how this country claims to be a civilized society, but at the same time, think that it's ok to KILL KIDS, then send 'murders' to prison & the electric chair! Why? Because there's no difference!
