Morning Peace

We are so blessed to have
so many beautiful places to walk.
This one, is only a couple
of miles from home.

One overcast morning,
we headed out
for a soulful walk.

We were greeted by
this lovely group
of Canada Geese.

They seemed to be enjoying the morning too.

This inlet is a nice access to the lake for boaters.

I used to take the kids here to fish.
We loved sitting on huge boulders such a this one.

Looking back at the boat launch.

This park offers so much.
They have many day camps for children.

Such as this group, enjoying lessons
in kayaking.

We walk here
(more pictures of the trails on another day),
have fished here
and enjoy swimming here too.
It seems to center
both of us.

It really doesn't get
much better then this!

Open air swimming is particularly wonderful, how great that you have the chance to do it so close to home.

The only thing I don't like about this park is the mosquitoes on the walking paths! ;) Brings back lots of memories....

It is so nice to have 'somewhere to go' isn't it? It certainly does look lovely even on an overcast day.

So nice to have a "quiet" place to go and get your thoughts together. Looks like a great place to enjoy time alone or with kids. Have a great weekend, Jill. Mickie :)

Such a beautiful and serene spot Jill. How wonderful to go for a walk there. Always something about water isn't there :D)

That's by your place?! Nice. I would walk there often. Such interesting things go on there. I bet it's beautiful in fall when all the leaves start turning. Glad you got out and have been having some adventures around your "hood":)

Soulful-such an apt description for this place. And I would say the same for your photography, Jill. Quietly composed and artfully shot. In a word-beautiful.
