Good News/Bad News

The good news is:
I am back.
(I acknowledge this could be debatable by some).
The bad news is:
I lost everything on my computer.

The bad news:
We had a terrible storm on Saturday night.

Storm clouds moving in.

Darkening skies.

Rain, quarter sized hail
and high winds arrived.

Good news:
No damage to my home.
Bad news:

Several large branches down on my beloved maple tree.

My hnadmade arbor, demolished.

Good news:
Today is a new day.

And how was your weekend?

Glad to know you are back. I am so sorry that you lost everything and that your yard has been damaged. But look on the bright side. You still have your blogging friends around, your home is intact and your kids and yourself are safe.

WOW!!! I really love your storm pictures and glad everyone is okay. Sorry about your computer....that's a bummer. Don't shoot me for saying this....if you don't have a backup storage device, now would be a time to get one to save your pics etc in case your computer crashes again. Hopefully there wasn't too much on there. Take care and glad you're okay.

Yay for you being back.
We are so sorry you lost everything on your 'puter. Bummer!

We heard about the hail from another friend in MN. Very very odd and scary weather. Mother Nature lets us know every so often she is in charge.

Jill,
I am very sorry to hear you lost everything on PC. It was terrible.
And, bad weather・・・.
Nara also has had bad weather, so many lightning strikes.
Always there are bad days and good days, but I hope more good days and less bad days!

Glad to see you back, Jill. How upsetting about your computer and the maple tree. But how lucky you are to have your joyful resilience.

Have a good week

And, PS my weekend was sunny!

Yay you are back on your computer! Sorry you lost everything on it. You might have lost some branches off your tree, but everything is watered and must smell so fresh and clean after the storms. Hope you have a good day today Jill.

The good thing about destructive storms - a new day to rebuild.

I'm so sorry though, I know how hard you have been working to make your property look good, taken so many hours of spring cleaning, outside. Now to do it all over -

I wish I were closer to you - I'd pop over and give you two hands and a hug!

Glad you're back!
Hugs,
Donna

Bummer on losing everything on the computer!! But, I would be most upset about your cute arbor being taken down. (Bet there's lots of branches to work with right now but still -- dang it!)

Beth said...

OUCH!! I get paranoid when my computer acts up. I hope yours behaves soon.

Sorry about the tree and the vine.

Much the same as your weekend with unexpected damage BUT nothing that can't be replaced. At least you and I are safe!

How horrible to lose everything on your computer! Glad your house was spared during the storm but sorry for your tree. We drove in a terrible storm on Sunday late afternoon, on the way home from Walmart, and the rain was so bad there were times we couldn't even see in front of us. Horrible. Hope you're having a nice day!

Oh my goodness! Well, first I have to say I'm glad you're back! On the other hand I'm very sad abut all that you lost on your computer (I hope you had a backup), your beloved maple (nature can be so cruel) and your arbor.

i'm getting through the week. last two days were the first two days on the job, so it's been stressful. sorry about the maple, but i can smell the fresh air in that post-storm porch photo. darkening skies are fun.
