Another Project

My sister and I visited a lot
of garage sales
and thrift shops
over the weekend.

We came upon a real treasure
and I swooped it up
before anyone else could.
I only wish I had gotten
a total before photo
( I forgot).
Imagine this as bright
red and yellow.
In fact, it made me think
of a circus, it was so bright.

I began the transformation
by pounding drain holes in the bottom.
Next step,
a few coats of brown spray paint.
I added bronze paint to the raised
edges
and planted it
with a variety of
succulents.

Sorry these aren't clearer shots,
I'm having problems with Picasa.

It was a really fun project!
Hope you enjoy it.

Wow!  I just realized this is my 500th post.
I never thought I'd be here.
Thank you ALL for reading
and most of all for your comments.
I have the BEST followers!

Wow, look what you've created. I would have passed up that item and never given it another thought. Does it stay inside now, or can you put it outside?

That's a pretty neat planter. What was it originally? Looks like a frame, but the little boxes have me puzzled.
