Perspective is reality.
Sounds so simple.
Yet sometimes,
I lose my perspective.
Does that mean I lose my reality too?
I hope not.
If it does, I am proudly reclaiming both
of them today.
Right now.
This moment in time is mine.
I was witness to something
so moving,
so heartwarming,
so overwhelming
today that
it left me in tears for hours.
Many of you know
what I am referring to.
Flowers for Leontien
If you don't already know,
she is a dear, sweet, lovely
blogger friend that is in the fight
of her life against cancer.
For the second time.
Over 150 bloggers (so far)
made a post for her today
I think of Leontine so often.
I pray for her daily.
She is brave.
She is courageous.
She is beautiful.
The most important kind of beautiful.
She and her battle help keep me in perspective.
And dear blogging friends of mine,
so do you.
You make me so proud
to be a part of this blogging community.
I cherish each and every one of you.
Thanks for sharing you with me.
And Leontine,
we had a day for you.
But every day is for you,
as we all continue to love and support
YOU.
It's not too late to participate.

oh man, jill, you're gonna start the tears up all over again.
amen, sister friend. :)
Jill it has been wonderful hasn't it. Your post has made the tears spring to my eyes too.
I will say it once again. Blogland is a wonderful place to be.
Jill a thoughtful entry and a thoughtful thing for these sweet girls to do. My prayers go up for her
Oh you said that so well!
Tender message/words Jill . . .
I will pray for healing
Lovely words Jill :)
Oh Jill just when I thought I was done crying you went and made magic with your words again. You are awesome Jill and I know how you feel the blogger world is a wonderful place for the most part and I have always believed there is way more good in the world than evil and this proves my point very well. Thanks Jill. I have to go get a kleenex now. B
Beautifully presented, Jill. This day of Flowers for Leontien has truly made the best of technology and highlighted the generosity of spirit - one stranger to another. May we all take away special feelings from this.
Jill, how lovely and so true isn't it? We feel sorry for ourselves and then we realize someone else is having a fight for their life, and we get our perspective back. I am so moved by the love Leontien is getting and so deserves! Wonderful post!
Still trying to stay tear-free but you are not helping! Love you. xoxo
I keep your friend in my prayers, Jill. You are a wonderful woman, friend, to have on our side, and I'm so proud to know you!
God's blessings,
Donna
What a great thing to tell her - it didn't end with the day of flowers - we all are still praying for her. Good girl, sandie
